I said "most." I know there are exceptions like Frontier and Spirit, but these are the exceptions. Many people stay away from these guys because they don't want to worry about all the extras. And people will stay away from DL after they start feeling like they're being taken for another $100+ after they've already paid good money for their ticket -- and these aren't just the "Kettles" but your friends and neighbords who aren't as obsessed with the rules, regulations, and T&Cs as everyone here
Actually Spirit seems to be thriving, and Frontier is recovering from its near brush with death.
Allegiant is doing extremely well, and they even charge a "convenience" fee for booking on their web site!

Oh, they already do. I redeemed my "last" AMEX generated DL miles on CO flights and had to pay a $ 50.00 "partner airline fee".

I personally think it's stupid. If they must charge for the 2nd bag internationally, set it to $25 like domestic. I wonder which airline will be the next to implement this. I'm betting either United or US Airways.
