If they announce they'll match the DEQM's (given UA* has also hopped on board, much more likely) I'll be pulling the trigger on precisely two discretionary trips ...

* I'm elite on UA yet have no intention of purchasing any tickets on the airline this year.

A DEQM (for NW elites...) would put me in striking distance of Platinum. I would probably spend 500 bucks or so and run over to Hawaii or London for the weekend.

FYI - UA matched DEQMs now as well. That means UA, AA and US all have DEQMs right now. I don't see DL not joining the party.

This should be interesting...
NW folks can start bashing DL at will while the clock ticks.

I can tell you this much - I have two trips in the next month, one domestic, one intl, that I was planning on booking on DL. I may now take a look at UA prior to booking these trips.

I'm looking at an itin to Italy, it's almost $200 less on AZ, but if they announce DEQM's before I book I'll definitely switch over to DL.

I'll book at least 2 trips, probably 3. Hopefully, LAX-SYD will be available during the promo...

With the right motivation I can find many, distant places to go.

Delta, if you are reading this...

We would never look a gift horse in the mouth with regard to double MQMs, but please avoid the issues which were so problematic for so many last year! Make the program real simple, like double MQMs for flights between this date and that date, regardless of when the flight was ticketed, where and how it was ticketed (web, corporate travel dept, SMS etc) and so forth and so on.

Last year, many of us had many minutes wasted on the phones with SMS trying to get double MQMs credited in cases of misconnected flights, SDCs etc, changed return flights with change fee etc.

Bottom line, such a promotion will pour dollars into DL's coffers at a time when business is slow.

I will have at least 4 flights to SAN around Memorial Day Weekend, and I will somehow convince my mom to book BOS-ATL-BOM-ATL-BOS in Coach M or higher, because that means instant GM status for me, and probably PM status for her, being a FO now a AMEX credit card holder...

I'm looking at 2 trips, maybe even 3 from May to August. So Delta, if your listening, PLEASE DO THE DOUBLE (triple if you really want to) OFFER! From May 1st-Labor Day Weekend would be great, and reduce fares a bit too and you'll have profits this summer. This is coming from a loyal Delta flyer.

If theres triple - definitely going to BOM. Maybe HNL and SYD too...

Wait...what if your in F, Y, B, or M fare? the 2x MQM thing would be AFTER the 1.5x regular miles? So on a 1,000 mile trip, you would earn 1,000 regular miles and then 1,500 MQM...then double so it would be 3k MQM right?

1. 2-3 flights
2. 2-5 flights

That mileage run to Moscow might look more interesting...

I would definetly add at least 2 trips, and maybe more to my agenda if they announce 2x EQM. With UA, AA and US already announced, I can't believe Delta won't match this soon.

It was late March it was announced last year so hoping we get it here in the next week.

If DEQM, I'll book the one small trip I've been holding off on and probably 2 MR's to assure getting to Gold. Not sure I'll make Plat either way unless they go triple MQM's or there are some real cheap fares across the pond.
