When is Delta going to add the upgrade list to their online system?

I've read about other users wishing for the same functionality. From what I hear Continental really leads the pack in this arena. I would think that Delta already has the ability to do this. Think about how helpful this would be in airports that use common gate information displays! What do you guys think? Can anybody describe what Continental's is like?

Seriously? Have you ever tried to search for an award ticket on dl.com? Methinks you're assuming facts not in evidence.

DL could have had it REAL easily if they would have stuck with the original plan to use NW's IT systems. But, no, DL has reversed course (I think many on here call it 'fleecing') and will use their own IT systems.

NW already provides this to the user. It will take DL years to do it, IMO, because they have far bigger IT issues to worry about right now. Like, umm, how to integrate two very different reservations systems.

You can only see it if you're on it— go to "Manage My Reservations", then once you pull up your itinerary you'll see a link called "View Upgrade and Standby List"

It will tell you how many are booked/checked in and tell you where you are on the list.

Well, i pull my my reservation and i don't see the link. I do see that it shows my dl ff# and elite status along with my itinerary, but i don't see any link to view upgrade and standyby. Maybe you have to be checked in with a NW ff# for that?

Once you've checked in (i.e. within 24 hrs.) you can pull up the res and then you'll see the list

Also, maybe it makes a diff that i bought my tickets on delta and not nw directly?

I'm very impressed. Delta has listened and delivered on this one. Well done.
Would be nice to see them expand the capabilities of this tool in the future.

Ha. Circular reference since the Blog post refers to a FlyerTalk post.

I still think the CO functionality is much better and easier to access. You can also view seatmaps.

When you said years you meant days right?

Congrats DL staff. Let us know what you have the other NWA.com features:

Online SDC, Time of Booking Y/B/M Upgrades on International, and view the FFP promos you're enrolled in. Once that's done welcome to 2007.
