Well, in the end, I got it resolved through the customer service email. I learned through repeated contacts, though, that I had to be very specific and not give up.
I wrote in and explained the situation (again), showed them the six that I believed qualified, and then finished with something like, "I need either an explanation, from the T&C, as to why xxx partner did not count or I need the extra bonus miles posted to my account." This prevented them from just writing back with, "Oh, you only have five qualifying partners" and no explanation as they had done once or twice before.
They responded saying that it would be 7-10 business days while they researched it. At the end of 10 business days, I wrote back in saying that I was still waiting to hear from them. Next email from them- your miles are posted, and they were.
My next step would have been a snail mail letter with all the documentation.
Maybe they gave me the miles just to get rid of me.
