Delta Partner Bonus 2008

https://www.delta.com/marketing/part...008/?soac=dcom

Here are the T's & C's:
Terms & Conditions
Eligibility:
To participate in this offer, SkyMiles member must register online between January 10, 2008 and March 15, 2008.
Offer:
Earn up to 25,000 bonus miles. Earn bonus miles (in addition to normal bonus miles) in the following increments for each level of unique partner activities between January 15, 2008 and March 15, 2008, up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus miles. 3 unique partner activities = 3,000 bonus miles, 6 unique partner activities = 6,000 bonus miles, 12 unique partner activities = 12,000 bonus miles, 20 unique partner activities = 20,000 bonus miles, 25 unique partner activities = 25,000 bonus miles Only one activity per partner is allowed, only one Buy Miles activity is allowed, only one SkyRewards partner (e.g., SkyMall, LATHER, Organic Bouquet, Vinesse, Great American Days, Samsonite and Java City) activity is allowed, and only one SkyMiles Credit Card activity is allowed. These bonus miles are in addition to normal bonus miles offered by participating partners. Partner offers subject to the terms and conditions of each individual offer.
Unique Partner Activity:
A unique partner activity is defined as one partner activity or Delta Buy Miles purchase between January 15, 2008 and March 15, 2008. Note that only one mileage-earning hotel partner stay/activity with a partner hotel family will count regardless of the number of different hotel stays within the family. For example, multiple stays at different Hilton brands (e.g., Doubletree, Embassy Suites and Hilton Hotels) will count as only one eligible activity; however, normal bonus miles may still be earned as a result of such multiple activities. One stay/activity at different hotel families (e.g., Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental, Meliá, etc.) will each count as an eligible activity for the threshold bonus promotion. A Delta Buy Miles purchase and a partner points to miles conversion transaction are considered eligible unique activities. Miles earned for purchases using your domestic or international SkyMiles Credit Card count as one eligible activity. Converting hotel partner points to miles and a stay/activity with the same hotel partner do not count as two activities. Flight activity on Delta or partner airlines is not eligible for this promotion. Delta Gift Miles and Transfer Miles activities are not eligible for this promotion.

[quote=rrgg;9075486][*]Miles appear in your statement with a post date and an activity date. For the purpose of this promotion, I believe Delta counts the post date. However, last year I believe a few people were able to convince Delta to backdate the miles and grant the bonus miles.
[quote]

My recollection from last year is that most things posted with the activity date correct and that these were not a problem. However, some partners were posting all miles from the month at the end of the month with an activity date that was the same as the posting date at the end of the month. THOSE were the ones that were problematic and had to be fought over.

[quote=delmargal;9073254]Yep, Shop4miles is in that long list of partners so Skymall wouldn't count now. But a partner like shop4miles or redemption on http://club.live.com/home.aspx would count as unique. So I'm wondering what others are out there. Sometimes you get a sign up bonus so it might be worth it.

And I wonder if e-miles / club.live / e-rewards / MyCokeRewards all considered 1 activity? I would think Points.com is separate cause that's points transfer and not points rewards program.

BTW, I'm kicking myself. Did a points.com transfer late Jan 14, and it's posted Jan 14, not 15th. Didn't know they're so efficient.

The List...

I thought I'd try to make the list a little more readable (both for me benefit and yours) and make it easier for us to find issues/errors. Only thing I see so far is Scenic Airlines is listed twice in separate categories. Please let me know of corrections and I'll (or Mods) edit. If I've counted correctly, that makes 65 unique qualifying activities.

I don't see any reason to believe that Diners Club and Membership Rewards wouldn't count separately.

In the last promo, I think we deduced that unique partners were driven by the way Delta posted them. "SkyMiles Incentives" postings covered a gamut of different partners ranging from LATHER to GoldPoints transfers to Java City. That is why they were/are probably all lumped together.

After looking at this list again, I can't figure out why Ameriprise Insurance is grouped with these other "SkyMiles Incentives" partners. My last Ameriprise insurance quote posted with an identifier of "Ameriprise Auto and Homes Insurance".

Has anyone received a recent quote that has a different type of posting (e.g., SkyMiles Incentives)? How does a posting from a financial consultation with Ameriprise read?

According to triprewards.com Wyndham Hotels are part of TripRewards hotels. I would have to guess that an activity on either or both would be posted as a TripRewards activity and therefore count only as one unique partner.... unless Wyndham has a separate miles program from Triprewards?...?

Wyndham now owns TripRewards, so I would err on the side of caution and only pick one of those hotels, including Wyndham. TripRewards is now the only mileage/point program for Wyndham.

Two questions for the pros:

1. Is there anywhere on the site where I can see how many activities I have gotten credited for?

2. For E-Rewards, do I have to sign up and redeem between 1/15 and 3/15, or will a redemption from an existing account count?

Thanks!

When your miles post for the specific activities, I guess you will know that those are complete. Otherwise, I do not think there is a way to know.

E-rewards and e-miles are separate activities as stated in the TCs. I know that Mycokerewards posts as "Skymiles incentives" same as Skymilesshopping. I believe an above poster mentioned having difficulty convincing DL this was unique. Points.com is also separate.

Not sure how club.live redeems but when the airmiles are up and running again in a few days I'll redeem.

1. What site are you referring to? The only way you can see what activities have posted would be by logging into your Skymiles account.

2. You can register anytime but the redemption will have to be between the promo dates. I just happened to have enough currency to redeem otherwise I probably wouldn't have been able to use E-rewards. The surveys are sporadic so counting on this partner probably isn't the best option.
