25K partner bonus

Just received my 6000 miles as well. Anyone, aware of how long the Avis promotion is taking to post? I rent on 4/07 or 4/08 and have yet to see any mileage show up in my account?

Thanks.

My husband got 3000 miles instead of the 6000 miles expected. Is there a specific email address to email for this issue? Thanks in advance!

Try this: Customer Care <customer-care@delta.com>
Or try this: Delta's Promotions Department 800-325-1447
(This is all about a year old, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information.)

This worked for me after my second 5000 miles were missing from last year's partner promotion. But it took a while to finally get results. The first 5000 miles miles posted near the end of August, and the second 5000 miles posted in early October. I recall that it took multiple phone calls and emails, and they wouldn't even begin the inquiry process until the full 12 weeks after the end of the promotion had passed. Be patient, but be persistent.

Which Avis promotion are you referring to?

Avis and Budget post consistently on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st of each month (of course not for months with less than 31 days). This has been very consistent for these two Budget promotions here and here as well as this Avis promotion.

If you have waited this long and see no posting at all (no base miles) then there might be a snafu and you should contact Avis. Perhaps your Delta number mysteriously disappeared from the reservation. It has happened before...

I also received only 3000 miles when I believe I should have gotten 6000. When I wrote in to customer care, I received an email back saying,
"It will be necessary for you to resubmit your request to the SkyMiles
Service Center

The mailing address for the SkyMiles Service Center is as follows:

Delta Air Lines, Dept. 654
SkyMiles Service Center
P.O. Box 20532
Atlanta, GA. 30320-2532"

So, it seems as though they are not going to make this easy for us this year. Either that or I got a clueless CSR.

I emailed customer care because my husband only got 3000 miles instead of the expected 6000 miles and was told that I would have to call 1-800-325-1447. I spoke to someone named Anna who said that the other 3000 miles would be manually posted by June 7th. She said I could call that number again if it is not credited. We'll see. I hope it was that easy!

I called on Saturday to find out about why I only got 6000 when I had 13 different transactions and a lady from India tried to explain that I might get the credit later since some of my transactions were during the last weeks of the promo and just hadn't posted yet. I don't think that is right because they DID post on my Delta SM account. So I'm just waiting to call back during the week- hopefully I'll get someone else who has a clue.

Goes to show ya never can tell

I went for the 6K bonus and even though all activities were done pre-deadline, 2 of the 6 activities posted with dates after the promo ended.

Back then i wrote to both DL (who said take up any date errors with the partner) and the partners (who never replied)

Lo and behold DL actually gave me the 6K right off the bat, without so much as a fight.

Good luck to all in getting what's rightfully yours

Whoops

has this happened to anyone else. My miles posted last week , the same day as everyone else. My wife's have not posted. I phoned. The gentleman on the Promotions desk says there was no registration for my wife's account.
I'm sure I registered her, or I think I'm sure . Or I thought I registered her.
" Sorry Sir , too late, no exceptions".
Really I do think I registered her,

Yes... though I realize you might not want to scroll through all of the replies here, but if you did, you'd see that it happened to dozens of us; when we were all damn sure that we registered properly and on time.

The lesson in this, is to always save the screenshots of you signing up, both before and after submitting your registration. If you need some help learning how to do that, it's a very simple process, and I (or anyone else) would have no problem further explaining.

Also, save the original emails telling you about the promotion. That way, if/when this happens again... you've got three items of irrefutable corroboration in your possession.

That's what saved me here, and while it took nearly 5months, fax-after-fax, and phonecall-after-phonecall; I did eventually get my mileage.

Check your inbox...you should have received an email confirming your registration. The first paragraph read:

Quote:
Hello Mr. bob12403,

Thank you for registering for your chance to earn up to 25,000 bonus miles with our SkyMiles® partners. With over 100 participating non-airline partners, chances are you can earn miles for services you're already using, but only if you take advantage of this offer by March 15, 2008. It's that simple—and that rewarding.
If you have that, you have proof of registration.

Interesting.
I've always wondered whose (in DL) domain it is to come up with these such promotions?

Is it strictly marketing department? I'd imagine the accounting dept would want to have their say, as outstanding miles could be counted as a liability. Same for revenue management dept.

They did this to me last year. I sent a screenshot of the registration to fix it.

If you want this year's screenshot, send me your email address in a PM.
