In my experience with these types of promotions that the posting date is the critical date and not the actual activity date. Example: cross the $25K spending threshold on the DL Platinum Amex on the 15th of a month (assuming your billing cycle is after the 15th) and you will be waiting until your billing cycle ends until you get credit and your miles post.

I got no email but I tried registering again and it told me I was already registered for this promotion. I would rather have an email stating the fact but this is all the verification I think we are going to get.
Does anyone know of or use other shopping sites to earn miles? I would think those would all be unique partners.
I just used:
skymilesshopping.com
shop4miles.com
and would think skymall.com counts.
Any others? I know there are a ton of them out there.
PS. If you register for shop4miles with promo code "shop4miles" you'll earn 200 bonus miles for your first purchase. You could register, buy something like an itunes gift card, and tell friends earning another 50miles per friend that registers.

My interpretation of the T&C's is that purchases from both Shop 4 Miles and Sky Mall will only count as 1 partner activity combined, not two.
By using Shop 4 Miles, you have effectively wiped out about 60 other listed partners because they are all lumped together for purposes of this promo.

Yep, Shop4miles is in that long list of partners so Skymall wouldn't count now. But a partner like shop4miles or redemption on http://club.live.com/home.aspx would count as unique. So I'm wondering what others are out there. Sometimes you get a sign up bonus so it might be worth it.
I only need to spend a few dollars to be able to have shop4miles deposit into my SM account so it worked for my situation.
for what it's worth, the current terms and conditions appear identical to those from the last promotion, once they stabilized (they changed mid-course). so i expect that whatever worked (or did not work) last time will be true this time around too.
the highlighting at the end of Evan!'s last post raises an interesting ambiguity: are all points-to-miles transfers unique, or are they all lumped together? i was considering transferring some hilton and hertz points, and i'd like to know if anyone did multiple transfers last time and whether they counted separately.
From the T&C's:
"A Delta Buy Miles purchase and a partner points to miles conversion transaction are considered eligible unique activities"
Just not unique to transfer if you stayed at a hotel in the same family or rented a car from the same family.

Are their rental car families too? If so who are they? Even though Avis and Budget are part of the same company I don't think (for this promo) that they are a "family". Same with National & Alamo.

I really don't know as I don't rent cars often. I would assume though if you rented a car from company A, and then transfer points from company A into Skymiles it wouldn't count as two. Not sure if that situation exists, but I would assume it would be similar to the hotel situation.

Actually I don't think that would work. If you earn "points" from rental car company A it wouldn't hit your SkyMiles account so DL wouldn't even be aware that you used company A. If you convert points from company A into SkyMiles they would be aware of it and it would count as 1 unique partner. I am fairly confident that each partner activity you do must somehow post to your SkyMiles account. So if you earn points+points with Hilton your stays would nto be recorded by DL unless you converted some of the points.
Yes, a purchase at iTunes.com counts and is not considered a gift certificate.
Yes, transferring from SPG to Delta and AMEX to Delta count as 2 unique activities.
Using the DL AMEX at SkyMall counts as 2 partners, one as a credit card activity, one as SkyMall.
Miles appear in your statement with a post date and an activity date. For the purpose of this promotion, I believe Delta counts the post date. However, last year I believe a few people were able to convince Delta to backdate the miles and grant the bonus miles.
Staying at Holiday Inn Express AND converting some other Priority Club points to SkyMiles only counts as 1 activity.
Yes you can earn Starwood points at the restaurant of Starwood hotels. Technically they require you spend at least $15. Gift shops do not earn Starpoints.
A dine through Rewards Network and a hotel stay through Rewards Network very likely counts as 1 activity. I'm basing this on how a bunch of seemingly unrelated partners were grouped together last year (for example, Lather and SkyMall).
Please save a screenshot of your registration and any evidence you collect along the way. Delta tried to screw me and a few others last year.

It's good to see you joining in on the fun for this promo!
It looks like Delta tried to address some of the omissions and inconsistencies that you and NJUPINTHEAIR discovered in the last promo, but they still have forgotten to acknowledge mycokerewards and Viator as legitimate partners from what I can see. I wonder how they will be able to distinguish these "SkyMiles Incentives" postings from the slew of other partners they have added.
If I knew that Ameriprise would not attempt to put a person through the ringer getting points to post for an updated insurance quote (every 6 months according to their own T&C's), I would lean toward using them for the Other Partner portion of this promo. Shop 4 Miles may be the next cheapest method if Ameriprise doesn't automatically post.

Thanks rrggI am glad you commented on that. The T&C imply just the opposite. T&C:
Promotion Partner List:
...
"SkyMiles Dining & Hotels by Rewards Nhttp://www.flyertalk.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=9075486
FlyerTalk Forums - Reply to Topicetwork (one qualified stay among Rewards Network participating hotels);"
This is not part of the parentheses of any grouping but a separate semi-colon-delimited item. Then...
Dining, Retail, and Other Partners:...
SkyMiles Dining by Rewards Network (one restaurant purchase);
Again, a separate semi-colon-delimited item under an entirely different heading. They could've made this so much clearer had they simply mentioned Rewards Network once with the caveat: "(one qualified stay or one restaurant purchase among participating hotels or restaurants)".

. . .
Besides going through the normal transfer process involving thousands of *points (unless you're a Starwood Platinum member), is there any way to get these *points to Delta in the small increments being discussed (e.g., 30 *points for $15 charge)?
Taken from the Network Solutions T&C concerning SkyMiles bonuses:
Quote:
Offer valid only for domain names registered independently of other Network Solutions products. Miles accrued and awards issued are subject to the terms and conditions of the Delta® SkyMiles® program. Taxes and fees related to award travel are the responsibility of the passenger. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Bonus miles available for each qualifying service purchased. Please allow 8-10 weeks for miles to be posted to your account. Miles will be processed after two full months of service for Web Hosting transactions. Network Solutions reserves the right to end or amend this program without notice. All terms and conditions of the Network Solutions Service Agreement apply. All standard Delta SkyMiles program rules and conditions apply. Other restrictions may apply
If one were to make a purchase today, January 15, the first day of the promotion the activity might not show up at Delta until after the end of the promotion on March 15. If DL uses the purchase date then it would work. But if they make you fight to get credit because the post date was after the promotion it might not be worth the hassle.
