I am slightly confused as to why people are insisting on using SkyMall for this promotion. Shop4miles allows for itunes purchases for miles. .99 for 1 mile with no S&H charges seems like a great deal.
I made this purchase and received confirmation of the sale and that miles should be posting. Granted, they have not posted yet, but all seems to be on the up and up.
I tried to use shop4miles, unsuccessfully, numerous times. The site was really slow and never would load for me.
I didn't want to use ameriprise because I didn't want credit pulled and just feel like buying something inexpensive would be easier.

I've had shop4miles be slow too but later used it without any problems. My miles through Shop4miles took 6 weeks to post (Drugstore.com purchase). itunes is simple though and usually post bi-monthly.
I'm not sure why you'd do SkyMall or Shop4Miles. They are in the long list of partners that all count as 1. If you did the free Ameriprise Insurance Quote, then Shop4Miles and SkyMall don't count.
Correct, but I did the insurance quote only because it was free miles. I didn't mind having my credit pulled.

Some of us don't own a car anymore and are just secondary drivers on a spouse's policy

Shop4Miles has a policy that they won't transfer your miles until you earn 100 points (collectively over one or several transactions), which isn't useful if your goal is to purchase something on the cheap just for the promotion and get it transferred over quickly.

That is what confused me about their site. I got the 200 bonus points for signing up, yet they show me as having 1 pending mile for my iTunes purchase and sent an email saying that 1 mile should post to Delta. The bonus points seem to not be being addressed.
My Hilton Honors account has been set up to receive Hilton points and then the double dip action gives even more Hilton points. I cant figure out how to turn them into Delta miles in order to continue my trek towards 20 partners. A little help would be much appreciated........Thanks.
