I had the same error on iTunes, so after the error message, I clicked a second time on buy and it allowed me to buy the 2nd try. I will post whether or not the miles post.

As an SPG Plat I was able to follow others' advice and transfer 1 SPG point for 1 DL mile - thanks. Anyone know for sure what the smallest allowable transfer is for Amex MR points to DL?

Minimum is 1000 in increments of 1000. See here.

Ditto. I was quite surprised since Ameriprise declined to offer me a policy, so I didn't actually get a quote.

Ameriprise tells me that my valid Skymiles number is invalid. Any suggestions?

For those of you that have done the Ameriprise auto quote in the past, does this show up on your credit report as an inquiry? I also did the Ameriprise auto quote but backed out before I completed all the information but I still got the 500 points.

Posting Data

For a point of reference, here are some turn-around times for different partners. Format is date of actual activity, posting date listed on Delta, date that activity first appeared on Delta:

Points.com Swap: 1/16, 1/16, 1/16
Buy.com (SkyMiles Shopping): 1/16, 1/16, 1/22
Ameriprise Quote: 1/16, 1/19, 1/19
SkyMiles Dining & Hotels (RN): 1/17, 1/17, 1/22
GoldPoints Plus transfer ("Radisson Hotel" posting): 1/16, 1/15, 1/24
SkyMiles Clothing Care: 1/22, 1/23, 1/29

To expand that using Exit's info and format... I added the partner's post date at the end in parentheses (i.e, the date that Triprewards showed the activity on my account with them on line was 1/20).

SkymilesClothingCare.com (ThanksAgain): 1/15, 1/22, 1/22 (1/20)
Triprewards.com : 1/16, 1/17, 1/21 (1/20)
Marriott Rewards point conversion: 1/15, 1/15, 1/17 (1/15)
Starwood point conversion: 1/15, 1/15, 1/17 (1/15)

Items I have yet to see on my DL account and possibly not on my partner account either ...

HHonors: 1/16, no, no (no!) << I checked out 7 days ago... NOTHIN!
Priority Club: 1/18, no, no (1/22)
FTD.com: 1/19, no, no (n/a)
1800Flowers.com: 1/19, no, no (n/a)
SkyMilesShopping.com: 1/19, no, no, (n/a)
Alamo: 1/20, no, no, (n/a)

Although Hilton's web interface has made great strides it has only gone from being dismal to horrible. If I can log onto my Delta account at ATL and see the leg on which I just arrived already on my account, why can't Hilton get their OWN freakin' points to post in a reasonable amount of time I mean really.... 7 days after I left their establishment and they still don't acknowledge it?! They sure know how to charge a credit card timely though!

I did the Ameriprise quote just to get the 500 miles. It won't count as a partner for me because I did shop4miles also and Ameriprise Auto is in the huge paragraph on the TCs.

I did the lendingtree mortgage request. Word of advice...put in a fake phone number they call within about 1 hour of your request. I just told them I was going with my bank and I think she got the clue. Easy 1000 miles.

from the last time, i remember that an activity counted if the activity occurred within the promotion window, even if the points for that activity posted later. but did anyone get credit for activity that predated the promotion but posted within the window?

i ask because my hilton quad miles from a stay in early december finally posted today, and i have few hotel opportunities between now and march.

The T&C have been quoted over and over again in this thread. And the subject of "the others" has also been dissected again and again. But I will copy and paste ... again... and bold what you need to READ again.
one activity among the following (AJC, Allright Parking Corp, Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance, Atlas Van Lines, Inc., Best Western, Big Y Foods Inc., Boca Parking Systems, Bose Corporation, BostonCoach, CAPITAL G Bank Limited, Carlson Companies, Inc., Castle on the Hudson, Daytona Beach International Airport, DealerMiles, LLC, Delta Vacations, Dental Advantage, DHL Express, DIAMOND AIRPORT PARKING, Drury Inns Inc., East West Resorts of Big Sky, e-counters.com, Edgewater Hotel, Fieldheads Coffee Company, FLS Transportation Services, Inc., GE Consumer Finance, Gourmet Center/Biscoff.com, Great American Days, Greater Binghamton Airport, Greene Classic Limousines, Hartmann Luggage, Hotel Captain Hook, Hotels.com, IncentOne, Java City, KievApartment.com, La Quinta Inns Inc., LATHER, Luxe Hotels, Lynx Ski & Golf Vacations, Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Organic Bouquet Inc., PARC FIFTY FIVE HOTEL, PC/Nametag, Preflight Airport Parking, Ridley's Family Markets, S&H Greenpoints, Samsonite, Scenic Airlines, SHILO INN, Shop 4 Miles, SIRVA-Air Miles for Moving, SkyMall Inc., Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, Sunterra Resorts, The Cincinnatian Hotel, Tokyu Hotels Co., LTD, Triple J Parking, USA Today, Vinessee LLC, VISION NUMERICA USA, INC., West Coast Hospitality Corporation).
If you do business with EVERYONE in the above list you get credit for one partner... not one each.. but a grand total after taxes of one partner. So your Ameriprise and your Shop 4 Miles business adds up to one partner.

There is no inference. You don't get two.

So class, put away your books and take out one sheet of paper. We will have a single-question quiz on the reading assignment of the T&C. The question is: How many unique partner credits will one get if they do business with more than one partner in the section prefaces with "one activity among the following":

A) one
B) one
C) one
D) one

Yes Johnny, this is an open book quiz. No Johnny the T&C are not classified documents or missing from the library. No Johnny you can not go get a drink of water. Sit down and take your quiz.

e-Miles

I'm persistent, but even I have decided to cut my losses on the e-Miles eligibility debate. I was unable to get the "get out of jail free card" e-mail that cynicalflyer extracted from Delta in Post #161. After trading e-mails with four different English-reading-comprehension-challenged CSR's, I give up. No mas!

I signed up for it, but I have a list of guaranteed earners and ones that are maybe, so I am not counting on it myself!
