I am not sure I want to be spammed for miles, but how do you sign up and get the bonus sign-up miles? Is there a special link?
There is no just "get the sign up" miles.
The way e-miles.com works is you get 250 miles for signing up and then miles for either a) making purachses through links or b) watching ads.
They will ONLY cash out in increments of 500 miles. Thus, if you sign up and get 250 miles, they will sit there until the crack of doom UNLESS you accrue another 250 miles (250 + 250 = 500).
Then, on the quarters (Jan 1, Apr 1, etc.) they will pull out your miles on 500 chunks. For example, if on April 1 you have 1200 miles, you will get 1000 sent to your Skymiles account (500 * 2) and the remaining 200 will remain in your e-miles account.

I have a question about Scana and receiving skymiles for natural gas. We have SCE&G in South Carolina which is a division of Scana Corp. For those of you that have signed up for the Scana deal, do you all get your monthly energy bill from Scana or from local electric companies. I called SCE&G and they said that they didn't know anything about this and it appeared to only be SCANA of Georgia but certainly this can't be true if it is on the Delta site. Please post some information. I spend a good bit on the natural gas portion of my bill each month and I feel that somehow this should work since SCE&G is a division of SCANA corp. Thanks for any help.
Some areas of the country have begun to deregulate the electric and natural gas industries. In those areas, customers are given the choice from whom they can buy their electricity or natural gas. The local utility still delivers the energy to your home and charges you some fee for doing so.
It appears that this offer is from the unregulated side of this company's business. See http://www.scanaenergy.com/en/faq/sk...ana-energy.htm. They may be actively trying to retain customers in their sister company's regulated service territory or trying to sell energy in another company's service territory.
If you are in an area where the utility company is still a monopoly, there is nothing in it for them to offer you an incentive (Delta SkyMiles) to do business with them because you are a captive customer. This may be why you do not qualify for this particular offer.

As noted previously, my first response from Delta regarding their e-miles.com scam involving this bonus offer was to contact e-miles.com. Not satisfied with that response, I replied back.
Now, an entirely DIFFERENT customer care person responded to my ORIGINAL email, as though the first email had never happened!

things like this and we have forwarded this on to our SkyMiles team for
review.
Mr. cynicalflyer, thank you again for giving us an opportunity to respond to
your concern. We very much appreciate your Medallion loyalty to Delta

I already received a non-responsive response (tracking number here), which told me to contact e-miles. I replied to that about an hour ago.
Now, I receive this one (tracking number here) what does NOTHING to answer my original question: Please advise as to how I can get a partner activity credit for e-miles.com use. I don't want a review. I want an ANSWER.
I also want to know why I am getting TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT RESPONSES, both contradicting each other (the first told me to contact e-miles.com, you are telling me Skymiles is handling it).
I'll end as I began: WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?

Although I am probably giving them way too much credit, I think they are subtly trying to tell you in the 2nd e-mail that they screwed up and should not have included e-miles as a valid partner for this particular promotion since there will be no postings from this partner during the applicable period.
They've made other mistakes in the T&C's by leaving out Shutterfly, mycokerewards, etc. They may issue a correction to the T&C's like they did in the previous promotion, or more likely, each person who e-mails them with specific questions about the promo will get non-responsive answer after non-responsive answer.
It's not that surprising that you have a better grasp of the intricacies of this promo than their CSR's.
And the non-responsiveness continues. Keep in mind, now. I never asked when the 25K Bonus Miles would hit my account. I asked how it is I could get a qualified partner activity from e-miles when e-miles only posts activity January 1 and April 1 and the Partner Bonus runs from January 15 to March 15.
This is Delta's latest. It is a scream.

Does anyone recall how this scam worked last year?
Yes, last year, one of the quarterly deposits (April) happened to land within the promotion time frame. On top of that you had to be lucky enough to have the minimum 500 emiles in your account (which I did). Mine posted on April 6 2007.

Does anyone have any guidance if transfers from Live Search Club on MSN (see spam page for info) counts for this promo? Redemptions work today on the site, so this would be an easy credit since the games are so easy.
Thanks!

The only thing you can hope to get is an e-mail response from a CSR that says that it will be counted as a unique, eligible partner. I doubt you will find anyone on this forum that can tell you definitively that they got credit for this partner in the previous promo because it probably did not even exist then.
Ok, multiple emails later (after the non-response response above): from Customer Support Desk Person #4 or #5.

We are aware that Emiles.com automatically post mileage to a passenger's
frequent flyer account once per quarter. Therefore, as you stated,
Emiles.com will credit the applicable miles to your account outside of
our promotional time frame. However, if you read and respond to their
emailed market reviews, within the promotional time frame of January 15,
2008 - March 15, 2008, the date of transaction and not posting will be
recognized, therefore, giving you the bonus miles.

There you have it.
This implies that if I sign up today and get 250 e-miles, answer one survey between now and March 15, and then eventually get around to accruing another 200+ e-miles at some point in the future (perhaps months or years from now) so that my account finally gets to 500 e-miles, I would get credit for this partner when it finally posts to Delta. I don't believe it.
You are on more solid footing than someone who does not have the personal e-mail, but I would not count on this to automatically increase your partner count (unless the April 1 posting shows a pre-March 16 date). You are going to have to fight this fight again at some point in time in the future.

Don't get me wrong, I think you are absolutely correct and that I am going to have to return to this issue come April 1. But I intend on emailing them on March 16 (day after offer ends) and remind them. Gently, of course.
In the meantime, I'd recommend anyone who intends on using emiles.com as a "partner activity" better do what I did and email them now and get them on the record now.

Tis a shame,Tis a shame, many of us have realized for a long time now that delta's marketing department is the most erratic, incompetent, disorganized group of individuals to perpetrate any type of promotion on an unsuspecting program participant. We who have experienced this ineptitude so often in the past are conditioned and realize that the future will not be any different. Therefore understanding what undoubtedly will be repeated we must prepare ourselves to CHASE CHASE CHASE for what ever miles we earn/generate.Now lets hear from the delta defenders.I know they are out there.

I Tunes Question
How many 99 cent songs do I have to buy in order to get my miles? Is it 2 or 3? I'm asking because DL gives 3 miles/$2 not per $1. Technically, I'd need 3 songs to get the 9 miles........or do they round up.
I don't normally use skymilesshopping since I find other programs more generous so I'm not really familiar.
