I like the 75D cabin. Putting a brand new feel onto an older 757. FWIW DL isn't the first airline to put Y seats in front of 2L on the 757 and those are C+ seats.

Why are some so eager to side with the Airlines.
The OP was spot on. Cant believe anyone argues otherwise.

The Boeing 757 is the most stunning subsonic narrowbody aircraft ever designed. It excels at any mission.

If you are going to stick 3 rows of Y and 5 rows of F where 6 or 7 rows of F once were, something had to give. But, seriously, the redo of the 757 to the 75D is absolutely hideous. They took what was once a decent plane and ruined it by cramming in the seats like sardines. I try to avoid this flying disaster as much as possible now. Heck, I'll take a 737-900 before this.

Why would that be better for passengers? It’s the same amount of F seats but now the entire plane will be walking past you. And I hope you like fuel stops in the winter...

From a passenger comfort standpoint, the A321 wins hands down. Wider seats, wider cabin, quieter engines. No usable 2L door, but I'm willing to tolerate that.
The older 757 configurations were generally great, but now? It might as well be a 739.

I ask you to name a single time that an A321 on a domestic run has been forced to make a fuel stop, at any time of year.

Of course none of that will be done and this is just another "look at me" thread.
If you love AF/KL so much then hope over to Europe and take a bunch of short haul flights to collect your FlyingBlue miles. Seems simple to me.
Simple, they aren't.

since we are talking about ATL-SNA, the 321 (and 739) simply can't do the route.
If the 757 was going to be replaced on that route it would have to go back to the 73W.
*technically the 319 can do it, but like EYW, the 73W will perform better.
