Latest forecast says Irma is strengthening and has a fair chance of hitting the US mainland. Stay tuned!

PAP should still be fine for a Wednesday arrival, I would expect cancellations for DR-Haiti on Thursday. But if the trip can be postponed, it would be a good idea^

As a resident of the Treasure Coast I hope the forecast changes. The path will probably be uncertain for a couple more days but best to be prepared just in case.

Here is a good site for anyone interested:

http://www.spaghettimodels.com/

Focus on the Euro and GFS models. His latest update:

Spaghetti models are getting a little tighter. GFS focusing on FL along with several others. EURO has equal shot of missing FL and impacting someone on the east coast. I wouldn't stop watching Gulf states west of FL quite yet but chances lowering some. Will be going live at 9am EST to chat some more. www.spaghettimodels.com / Mikes Weather Page APP

Unless DL doesn't want a plane potentially stuck there if Wed PM gets worse and they can't get out of PAP. Would much rather postpone until the weekend if DL will let me.

I have no other information to offer but did want to thank the OP for posting the link to NOAA/NHC. Avoiding the hype on all the various commercial weather forecasts is a welcome move. It seems like all they want to do is keep you tuning in so they paint a worst case scenario.

Waiver is up, but only includes SJU, SXM, STX, and STT. Interesting. Travel on 9/5-6 affected, rebook by 9/9.

Living in Key West, it has my attention. Went onto delta.com to buy tickets just in case. Searched using refundable tickets only but it kept giving me P-fares.

As another poster mentioned, there is a waiver out now, but the "false" waiver for "Irma" a few days ago was under the assumption Potential Tropical Cyclone 10 would turn into TS Irma, which it never did.

Flying into ATL on 9/12 and it looks like Irma may be right on top of the area around then. Keeping an eye out for waivers.
