Flint FNT Airport is CLOSED / Lockdown??? . . . .
Anyone heading to FNT . . . .
MSNBC is reporting a police officer (I think) stabbed, bleeding from the neck, and the airport is closed!
Check on your flight before you go!
Here's the story on CNN . . .

While important event for what happened, I dont see why this is on the DL forum.
Hope the officer pulls through.

Not to turn this more toward Omni, but . . . .
MSNBC just reported that the suspect was heard uttering <something like> "Allah Akbar" right before the incident.

Not quite (or at least not quite yet):

"We are aware of reports that the attacker made statements immediately prior to or while attacking the officer, but it is too early to determine the nature of these alleged statements or whether or not this was an act of terrorism," the FBI said.

Just landed in FNT at about 6:30p. You could see where the incident occurred (the rental car peeps confirmed that's where it occurred), but it looks like they've put down temporary carpet. Other than that, I really didn't notice much more of a police/media presence. Saw one Sat truck leaving the airport as I pulled out of the rental car lot.
For those that know FNT, the incident happened on the upper level near the top of the escalators that come up from the ticket counters. Outside of the sterile area (not surprisingly).
The airport wasn't closed, the pax terminal was closed.
