Dec 9, 2023I travel to Valencia, Spain and saw that Delta used to fly direct from JFK but that was discontinued in 2012. I wanted to know if Delta or any other airline will create another direct flight.
Honestly, you never know. DL is probably your best bet of any airline because they seem to be the most willing to venture into seasonal European destinations (PRG, NCE, CPH, etc.). However, DL flies seasonally to AGP, and while I know it is not the same place, it is a seasonal destination in Spain. So DL may be less likely to choose VLC over another European destination, such as OSL.

Can you connect at AMS/CDG using KLM/AF? (Just watch out for codeshares using carriers that don't belong to SkyTeam.)

Flew Air Europa Majorca-Madrid-JFK last year and never saw any issues with tack-on fees. Their almost-lie-flat Business seats were one-fourth the price of DL, not really an issue westbound for me. Maybe that works for OP via CDG or flying all the way on UX -- I am seeing eastbound flights in July for $1600 OW in Business, albeit the obsolete seats.
