Delta AmEx signup promos

Delta is offering me a 50K signup bonus with the AmEx Delta Gold. I've been contemplating an application for a while, but I could've sworn I've seen 75K for Gold and 100K for Platinum in the past.

Am I imagining it? Is it worth waiting for a better offer to come along?? Or should I just go for this one?

EDIT: I've been contemplating a Delta AmEx card for a while, as I primarily fly Delta domestically. So this isn't just for the bonus, but I'd still like to maximize that reward.

If you Google around a bit, you will find that 50K is about as high as they go for the Gold card (and the current standard signup bonus is 30K). The Platinum AMEX sign-up bonus can go up to 70K. I don't see any point in waiting around expecting to see a higher offer.

As a point of reference, I received a 60K skymile offer for spending $1000 in 3 months for the gold card. That was back around October or November of last year.

I got the Gold card 75k offer for $2k spend (50k for the first $1000, then an extra 25k for the next $1000) late last year. The 60k for $1000 was running about the same time (targeted offers). 50k isn't bad but if you don't need it right away, I might hold out for more.

I think that's what I'll do. I'd really like the 75K offer, and $2K spend is (sadly) not a problem.

I got the Gold 75K offer in December too, except mine was for $3K spend. $2K in the first 60 days, and the last $1K within 3 months.

Oh that might have been the case for me too... Sorry, I was going by memory since I can't find the confirmation.

I'm fine with either spend figure. I just want to see 75K for Gold (or 100K for Platinum) return.
