DeltaOne is marketed as business class, not first class. Not sure how there would be any confusion there. No one, not even Delta, is claiming they are comparable.

While I would not do it personally, I always say, it's relative. Just like in casinos. To some guys, losing $100k in a year, in a visit, in an hour. It's pocket change. I seldom pass any judgement until I understand the big picture. Personally, my focus was more so on the fact that Delta phone agents and online are not really optimised for these types of bookings. And these are "full service" bookings, and such customers should receive such service. Though, sort of surprised the OP does not realise that.
Also La Première gets 300% credit to FlyingBlue for Tier earnings. Not to mention, they have a new "top tier" above Platinum. So, if you do this often, FlyingBlue might be the way to go (NOT Delta). Not to mention, FlyingBlue Elites can redeem miles for La Première. (and transfer from AMEX if needed, though that's not related to being Elite with Flying Blue)

Personally, I also can't see how international first-class on a flight as short as Paris-New York is truly worth the cost. Maybe Los Angeles or San Francisco.

I recently had a wonderful experience on an AF La Première closed suite from CDG to JFK. They have 4 of these suites on the 777-300. I need to book a multi-city flight through Delta and I can't seem to find a way to book online anything other than DeltaONE even on the the CDG-JFK leg operated by AF. DeltaONE is good but the AF La Première cabin is a totally superior experience.
If you haven't flown La Première from CDG, here are the perks:
Going back to the original question, any ideas how to book this via Delta online? I can't get past DeltaONE. I need to book online and through Delta.
If you haven't flown La Première from CDG, here are the perks:
- meet you at the curb with a dedicated attendant to escort you directly to the Premier pre-security lounge where they check you in while having a cocktail
- walk you straight through security to the Premier lounge which has excellent top shelf drinks and a menu by Alain Ducasse
- the same attendant takes you by car to the plane where caviar and champagne are waiting.
- Curtains close off your suite
- you can invite a guest from another cabin to join you for meals

I think you forgot the massage in the lounge, the airside transfer in a new BMW 7, and the excellent service on board.
I was surprised the product was that good, and it comes without all the bling that some other airlines put in their F product.
Enjoy!
