Amex companion cert question

Hey Guys. Real quick question. Can the companion cert be used on a multi city itinerary. IE: ATL-BOS, NYC-ATL?

Thanks

I believe that it is usable only on a RT.

despite the "no open-jaw" limitation, I'm pretty sure you can book AmEx companion cert flights into and out of different airports in either WAS or NYC by entering the city code rather than the specific airport code (e.g., DCA or LGA) in your search

Correct open-jaw is not allowed for the cert, however I'm not sure if co-terminals count as an open jaw or not for the amex cert.

Correct, open Jaw (Multi City) is not allowed, however Co-terminals are allowed.

over a ~10-year period I have **never** been able to get LAX/SNA/LGB/BUR/ONT to work; there's no city code analogous to "NYC" or "WAS" that encompasses all the co-terminal airports ... granted, I never tried calling the Promotions desk, but I sort of expected that doing so would bring NYC and WAS to their attention (and my eventual detriment)

Earlier this year we used the Reserve companion certificate and booked FC going MCO-CHI roundtrip. Don't remember which direction but flew into one airport and back home from the other.
