You can report any cabin maintenance issues to [email protected] and they'll be redirected to the right people.

Make sure to include:
  • the date
  • flight number
  • seat number
  • ship number (if you can)

You may not get a quick response (if you do get one at all), but your email will be directed to an actual human instead of through the regular customer service queue.

Hall of Shame: Photographic Evidence of busted or broken Delta Air Lines jets

We have a thread for passengers, why not a thread for busted or broken jets (per FTer request btw). This could be fun!

I have one from a CRJ-200 missing tray table to get it started.

and photo from twitter that inspired the thread:

When the thread gets large enough we can start a Wiki too.

Should not take long. Here is another CJR200 where folks had to hold up trim during takeoff:

From a MSP-JFK A-319 last year:

From a JFK-RDU CRJ-900 last year:

What's better? No tray table or broken tray table?

Now I wish I had a pic of the 777 from PVG with the covers from economy the meals taped over the reading lights in coach. All the reading lights all came on about an hour into the flight and they couldn't get them turned off.

Humm... I would have to say the one that makes the most SkyMiles from GST or SkyPro unit?

Here is one from a brand spank'in new 737-900er (also missing table)

So, I used my lap ;-)

Had a panel fall on my head on an EY A332 from AUH to MLE last month. Not a DL aircraft, but it happens all over.

Planes are complex machines, parts break, planes can fly subject to their MEL (minimum equipment list). The thread would only be of interest to me if there were frequent evidence of deferred maintenance.

I haven't been a fan of Delta because of how SkyMiles has deteriorated over more than a decade, but have never taken issue with their aircraft maintenance.

Also note that Delta's Tech Ops are licensed to provide a full range of maintenance services for other airlines & government aircraft, not just Delta's own planes.

Not in doubt but IMHO still a worthwhile thread.

It's dramatizing normal everyday stuff, but to each his own.

The same could be said for 99% of the stuff discussed on this forum, so... yeah.

Since Delta owns Endeavor Air I would say yes they own a bunch of them

http://www.endeavorair.com/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endeavor_Air

And paint them to look just like the big Delta jets too!

Exactly. Those that care about schedules and the financial value of time can certainly deal with a broken tray table. I'd rather be there on time than bi*ch about something cosmetically wrong with the plane. I'd be furious if we had to take a delay for any of the reasons cited above.
