2016 Compensation Thread

Fare: G Fare
Status: Silver Medallion
What Happened: Three hour delay. Tried to switch to another routing which DL.com stated was in First, got to the gate for the new flight and was given a middle seat in coach.
Compensation: 7,500 Miles

C+ seat wouldn't recline FLL>LGA.

Sent email inflight. FA confirmed the issue and made note.

Waiting for my sky pesos credit.

I wouldn't expect too much, if anything perhaps other than an apology.

Also, DL keeps records on an individual's complaints, and I am not certain that I would have filed for this, which I anyway, would consider to be a minor problem.

It would depend for me. If I'd bought up to C+ I'd certainly complain.

What Happened: FA served my meal to the wrong passenger
Compensation: 15,000 miles given by FA

Very happy with the resolution. The FA was extremely apologetic and offered the miles proactively -- I didn't complain or ask for anything.

I was in the seat behind you and "fixed" the seat so you would not be in my lap. Sorry about that.

I thought that was you! Behind me was a small child, maybe 4-5 years old.

I was awarded 4000 bonus miles. Should be transferred within 3 days.

What Happened:2hr15 mechanical delay which resulted in an aircraft swap after we sat on the tarmac for an hour. I arrived late to a dinner in New York and had to take a $57 Uber ride instead of the subway

What Happened: Upgraded with infant in arms. FA took coats and PDB orders from others but did not acknowledge me until in flight. Wrote in to tell DL that service was inconsistent (not the only flight this has happened on just the only example I gave DL)
Compensation: Hoped for an apology on inconsistent service, Got apology and 5k sm.

More than $200 worth of miles for the loss of a $20 Chinese dinner? Wow, your FA was generous.

I only got 2500 miles for a bad OJ spill all over me at the start of a D1 flight.

What Happened: I boarded the flight to find a hand written sign on my seat notating that the seat was out of order. The FA said she did mention it to the Gate Agent in DFW and that they were waiting for a Mechanic, but that the Mechanic in ATL was unable to fix it quickly thus the left with it inop, so she was not holding out much hope. The Mechanic did arrive, played with the seat a little and said that it needed to be fixed in ATL and I would have to have another seat. The Gate Agent pulled me off the flight and put me on the next flight to ATL as the flight was sold out and already late with lots of connections, I went to the SkyClub and the Agent there put me on a Non-stop AA flight and I looged into my DELTA SkyMiles account today I now have 10K miles, how they found my ancient DELTA account I have no idea or why they gave me now orphaned 10K miles is beyond me. I was happy with the AA flight.
Compensation: 10,000 Miles
