Delta 777 WiFi

Are Delta's 777's equipped with WiFi on board? I keep reading Gogo Ku-Band on 747s and soon to be on 777s. Is there a timeline? Referring to January specifically.

It depends on which 777 you get. They are rolling them out now, and should be done by the end of 2015.

I did read that, but I feel like I can't rely on information from March. Not that I'm relying, just a WiFi addict. Hard to get a straight answer on current statuses which makes me feel uneasy about the progress they're making.

Having flown on all the LRs this summer (commuting to SYD for work) - the only LR with wifi is 7104 (N704DK).

Yeay! ~300 Pax sharing a 30Mb/s connection with "gogo advertised": high latency! Where do I sign up? -End Sarcasm

I feel sorry for anyone that spends their own money on this.

Why does Delta make no mention of this flight having WiFi? I tried booking a new fare and the WiFi symbol was not under amenities.

Is there a page with official up to date WiFi info? Sorry, but I don't trust reliability of the WiFi icon on delta.com.

I'm getting ready to book some flights and I noticed DL 275 (DTW-NRT) is being downgauged to an A330-200. I've primarily been taking DL 275/276 since it's usually the most efficient connection for SDF-NRT-beyond and I've gotten used to having WiFi on that route.

Does the A330-200 have the same satellite WiFi installed and is it on every ship?

I'd prefer to take flights with satellite WiFi when possible. Yes, I know the connection isn't great but it allows me to get work done.

Thanks!

SDF

As a data point to this I am currently posting this from 7006 en route jfk-nrt. Site had no indication that this flight had wifi nor are there any overhead stickers or lights indicating it.

Anybody know how I can figure out aircraft type (LR or ER) for DL 473 noon flight today JFK-NRT and/or tail number? Wife is flying today and I'm trying to help her find out if she'll have WiFi.

If it's any help, I flew this route in August and had wifi (in both directions). And there was no wifi signal on delta.com in either case.
