Why Credit Miles to Skymiles?
I, like many on flyertalk are in the process of being status matched to Alitalia. This got me thinking, if you are someone who flies premium anyway, why not credit flights to a partner airline?
The benefits look good, for the top two tiers, including "4" one-way upgrades system-wide and a generous award structure. I think for this upcoming year, my domestic Delta flights (most AA) will be credited to MilleMiglia. There is NO reason to still use Skymiles!

BTW, Alitalia's SWUs are only valid for upgrading YBM (and H, IIRC) economy fares, so not so generous.

Happy for ya.
For the record, SWUs aren't valid for all PE fares either.
If you travel exclusively on premium products, I don't see why you wanna bother with FF programs. Pick any.
Everyone have their own reasons to use specific FFP. I don't see, for example, why domestic DL traveller would credit all flights to Alitalia. Just why? So I'm not sure what is the purpose of this thread. If AZ works for you - great, use it while you can.
