Comfort + without attaching DL FF#?

Is there any way to reserve comfort plus seats with DL GM status without attaching DL FF#?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. GM has to pay for C+ anyway. If you were
PM or DM, you would have to enter you number in the PNR to unlock the seat map and confirm the seat.

Maybe the OP is asking about getting EC/C+ seats for free at T-72.

You can pay.

GM's only get C+ at T-72, and the only way DL will know you're a GM is to assign you SkyMiles number to your reservation.

Doesn't matter. Only way to get then comp is to enter your GM number. Delta won't know he is GM unless his number is in to unlock the seat map

Perhaps it's possible to attach a GM SkyMiles account to the reservation, select a complimentary Comfort+ seat, and then replace the SkyMiles account with, say, an Alaska Mileage Plan account? (Not sure why someone would want to leave off their SkyMiles account unless he was intending to credit another program.) I doubt Delta's IT would be smart enough to subsequently kick that passenger out of Comfort+.

I suppose. Either way, I doubt Delta's IT is smart enough to boot a passenger out of his complimentary Comfort+ seat if the Medallion-level SkyMiles account is removed/replaced after seat selection.

in terms of changing the account for crediting, the lowest risk would be to call after checking in and obtaining the boarding pass(es)
