DM/PM Choice Awards Being Re-evaluated?

I have the MQMs for PM and DM for 2016 but as of today (3/1) my choice awards are still not available. When I asked a DM desk rep why, she told me (yesterday, 2/28), that the Choice Awards are being re-evaluated. Has anyone heard this? Should we be concerned (OK, dumb question)?

It would seem pretty bad to make major negative changes to Choice Benefits before people have the opportunity to pick benefits which ahve already been earned.

But, unfortunately, pretty typical for VA Ave.

Have you met the MQD requirements or the AMEX spend MQD waiver yet? The MQM's mean nothing if you haven't hit either one of those yet. Given they just added a new choice benefit today (upgrading from individual to exec Sky Club membership for Diamonds), I seriously doubt what the agent said is true. Sounds like just another typically clueless agent who doesn't know what's going on so they just make up some crap on the spot.

I could select my 2016 PM & DM choice benefits earlier today. As others stated you might miss something.

Grouchy, do you mean to say you managed to earn status for calendar 2016 within the first two months of 2015!?

Not that hard with a bucket-o-rollover and high CC spend

The Grouchy one lives in Europe and therefore is exempt from MQD requirements. Rollover makes it easy to get PM/DM early in the year or even at the very start of the year.

No spend required, either with DL or on a DL AmEx card. Look at the location.

It would seem pretty bad to make major changes to GM benefits (i.e. no more free EC at booking) which people have already have earned, but alas, it was done.

Legally I am DM until 2018 on the basis of my accumulated MQM with MQD exemption as a non-resident of the US.

Don't tell me the truth because I can't handle the truth.
