Wink Delta hates Cleveland!! ATL gate assignments ...

Connecting in ATL to CLE -- almost invariably C terminal, way at the end far away from the Skytrain. That is, East Bumble----. What gives? Aren't there any MD-88's departing from A and B? Do they save the choice gates for their most valuable customers? How do they make these gate assignments?

Flew into B36 from Akron Canton. Wasn't an awful walk.

Looking at gate assignments today most flights used A or B gates at ATL.
Note even a few years ago most CLE-ATL flights were RJ.s now they are all mainline. Also they have added service since UA pulled back.

Now that LerBron is back and the Browns have finally won a home-opener, maybe we'll get some respect in the form of a better gate.

A London or Paris flight would be nice in the summer. If they can operate Paris flight from CVG and PIT, CLE could support the flight.

Respect for Cavs? Yes (Labron is the man)
Respect for Browns? No (Johnny football is not the man)
Better gate? Worthless.

We are grateful, and will need all the help we can get for the Falcons this year.

Must be an Ohio thing. Flew next to a young woman with an infant flying to DAY today. We arrived at A7 from SAT. She had to hoof it down to C55!

Thanks to IRROPS I wasn't able to make this flight.

Doubt it was too bad of a walk.

CLE doesn't get all that much mainline love. It should welcome what it gets.

DL could probably support a few more non-stops out of Cleveland, as every flight I've ever been on has been near 100% occupancy. You know how it goes, "we expect this to be a full flight, so large carry-on items should be left at the gate."

Strangely every time they offer cash to take a bump, they never take my $400 bid. That's a bit of a bummer.

I'd love a direct to London flight, but I don't think Continental had much success when they offered it. Without a subsidy I don't think it'll happen.
