Delta hates Cleveland!! ATL gate assignments ...
Connecting in ATL to CLE -- almost invariably C terminal, way at the end far away from the Skytrain. That is, East Bumble----. What gives? Aren't there any MD-88's departing from A and B? Do they save the choice gates for their most valuable customers? How do they make these gate assignments?

Looking at gate assignments today most flights used A or B gates at ATL.
Note even a few years ago most CLE-ATL flights were RJ.s now they are all mainline. Also they have added service since UA pulled back.

Must be an Ohio thing. Flew next to a young woman with an infant flying to DAY today. We arrived at A7 from SAT. She had to hoof it down to C55!

Thanks to IRROPS I wasn't able to make this flight.
Doubt it was too bad of a walk.

DL could probably support a few more non-stops out of Cleveland, as every flight I've ever been on has been near 100% occupancy. You know how it goes, "we expect this to be a full flight, so large carry-on items should be left at the gate."
Strangely every time they offer cash to take a bump, they never take my $400 bid. That's a bit of a bummer.
I'd love a direct to London flight, but I don't think Continental had much success when they offered it. Without a subsidy I don't think it'll happen.
