DL Innovation Class

This sounds really interesting.

Not sure if those "really smart people" enjoyed having the airplane as their last sanctuary....

If DL really wants "brilliant people" filling these seats, they really don't have to look any further than filling them with FTers.

I can just see it now, some one who works for company "a" mentoring someone who works for company "b" and the two companies not only are in the same business, but are competitors and some one from company 'c' (which guess what is also a competitor) has the third seat.

Not a good idea to me, but then around FT many of use the expression Delta dot dumb for a reason.

Good idea but those seats don't look all that comfortable.

Sound like a way to make FC seat availability even less... seats filled with "innovators."

For several serious reasons, this sounds pretty lame.

I really don't care about other people's life story on the plane. I'm more interested in the view out the window, the movie on my IFE screen or IPad, or the inside of my eyelids.

Perhaps they are just looking to mentor their own employees. Lord knows their IT and Loyalty groups could use some mentoring.

I remember someone starting a dating service with a similar idea. It didn't last long as no one had flights that matched.

I would not volunteer to be a mentor if that was all it was. I would have zero intention of giving my life story or telling people how wonderful I was. Now if I could just pass on information - like a free education - that is what I would want.
