717 and 737-900ER seat maps now available

So, making the lavs a bit smaller allowed for Row 20 in the 739?
I wonder what the back exits will be like on these planes? It looks like the window seats will be very roomy, but how will the other seats be? |

I love that the 717 has the solo seat on the left side at the exit row, just like the MD-90. I call that the Silver Medallion First Class seat!

As expected, worse F:Y ratios than the aircraft they are replacing. At least the seats on the 717 will be a bit wider.

The 717s will mostly be used on short hauls replacing DC-9s and upsizing some existing CRJ-900 and Embraer 175 routes, which in turn will be used to replace 50-seat RJ flying.

ATL peaks at 40-something 65/76 seat regional jets this summer, and the 717 isn't a candidate to replace many of these -- or the remaining 50-seat regional jet -- flights from ATL. Undoubtedly, the 717 will replace equipment on flights currently operated with other, larger mainline equipment. Capacity will be offset through additional frequency as well as shifts in capacity to DTW & MSP as DL begins rebuilding its network with the mass exodus of 50-seat jets. |
