Award booking help: DTW - LHR

I am looking at award booking for 3 tickets in business class using skymiles from DTW to LHR on June 18/19/20, 2013, and returning on July 8/9/10. I have not been able to find any low level availability and would appreciate any help.
Also, if I want to add a leg to west coast for a future date, after returning to dtw, would I be able to do that?

Thanks in advance.

You may do better looking for one or two at a time, rather than all three.

International award travel allows a stopover and an open jaw. You could certainly return to DTW (stop over up to one year from ticket issue), and continue on in the U.S. 49/Canada with no added miles vs. a DTW-London-DTW round trip.

You need to be MUCH MORE flexible than just those 3 days. The award calendar shows June 24 available for departure and July 8 available for return.
Do not try to search for 3 tickets at once as there likely will be nil availability.
Taxes and fees are $289.90.

Of course, the question remains why spend 100,000 miles on a US-LON biz ticket if you can buy discounted summer fares in biz for $2K.

Here you go. There looks to be plenty of availability for the connection from AMS to LHR (either at 1:25 or 2:55), but trying to add it in causes the website to flip out. A call to the Medallion line should sort you out, but come armed with the flights and feed them the specific flight numbers. Alternatively, you could book it on line and call to add the segments.

Domestic awards get stopovers and open-jaws as well, it's just more restricted in terms of routing. Being in a hub makes it possible.

Yes. You need to leave at 10pm on the day before your first mentioned day.
