Lost Status. What's the quickest way back?
I was a longtime NW PE member. After the Delta takeover I jumped to Continental. I didn't like that and they pulled the United stuff. I had PE status on Delta until the end of Feb. so i started flying them again. not enough miles last year to make any status or rollover. I've flown approx. 13k this year so far. I've only had one flight since my status has expired. Whew...I really miss the perks of status. That plus the fact that I only need about 150k to make MM....well I've decided to mileage run it out. What would you guys think would be the way to get my status back the quickest?
Thanks,
Tracy

Go to farecompare.com's Flyer Talk page and find the cheapest cents per mile flights from your city. Then fly like crazy.
A couple of years ago I capitalized on a fare mistake and attained platinum status in 11 days in January with Delta. Anything is possible.

quickest way to get medallion - amex transfer. less than a week.
the only way quicker would be to do the status match challenge thing.
but the amex method is guaranteed...

You could also ask a Platinum or Diamond medallion to gift you status. Or you could challenge on another airline and then have Delta match that status- all options I outlined in my blog post about coping with the loss of elite status.
