Ground Stop in ATL??

At BNA, pilots allowed deboarding - WX ground stop. Anyone else affected?

Sitting at the gate here in ATL for CVG. When I was on the train to the airport, skies were incredibly dark.

Three separate short-duration G/S earlier, including one requested by Delta to stop their mainline and sub departures from ZDC and ZDC airports. Looks like the line of weather is way east of ATL now.

ATL had two GSs this morning. The second one (below) was likely what affected you.

Better to wait on the ground that divert to some small airport with 30 other DL flights and then wait 3-4 hours to be fueled (hoping your crew doesn't timeout).

From the FAA:
Code:
MESSAGE:

CTL ELEMENT: ATL
ELEMENT TYPE: APT
ADL TIME: 1240Z
GROUND STOP PERIOD: 23/1131Z - 23/1345Z
DEP FACILITIES INCLUDED: (Manual) ZDC ZME ZHU ZJX ZMA ZID ZTL
PREVIOUS TOTAL, MAXIMUM, AVERAGE DELAYS: 1431 / 58 / 20
NEW TOTAL, MAXIMUM, AVERAGE DELAYS: 4799 / 118 / 67
PROBABILITY OF EXTENSION: MEDIUM
IMPACTING CONDITION: WEATHER / THUNDERSTORMS

Hey, hey, hey - our small airport in HSV needs landing fees too.
