How was it?? (We've done lots of Celebrity cruises, this will be our first on O.)
We just returned from a Baltic cruise with O, our sixth with them, so it's obvious we like the line. Since the March crossing was our third Transatlantic on Oceania, it's obvious we enjoy that experience as well but YMMV.
We ran into some heavy weather, as we did on one of the previous crossings. Following is a copy-and-paste of some of our en route cell phone text-message entries to our blog (read bottom to top), to give you the flavor:

Still bumpy day 5 but we may outrun low pressure by tomorrow. Lots of bridge, great food!

We enjoy sea days and the size of the ship. We throw ourselves into bridge lessons, table tennis, shuffleboard, trivia, etc. Sometimes we almost run from one activity to the next. We have friends and relatives who would go stir-crazy on such a small vessel, but we enjoy the camaraderie and of course the superb food. The well equipped honor-system library is yet another plus for us.
If you have any specific questions please feel free to send me a PM. We're looking forward to hanging around home for awhile after having flown more than 120,000 BIS miles so far in 2009.
5 day Carnival Inspiration from Tampa October 24 (over my birthday!) - MoreMilesPlease
Inspiration, despite being one of Carnival's oldest ships, is a well-run machine. She consistently boasts the best food and ranks with some of the best service in the Carnival system. Port of Tampa is easy and efficient, too. Have a great time!
We're heading out on Norwegian Pearl out of Miami on the same day for a 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise.
8 NOV 2009 - RCCL Mariner of the Seas (from LA (San Pedro))
5 FEB 2010 - RCCL Monarch of the Seas (from Port Canaveral)
5 JUL 2010 - Celebrity Equinox (from Rome (Civitavecchia))
We are traveling on the MSC in Jan 2010 out of Ft. Lauderdale. Has any one sailed on this ship? We are also looking for a hotel that will pick us up at the airport and take us to the cruise ship, or would it be easier just to take a cab?? and stay out at a more reasonable hotel. Any Help!!
