B of A Asiana Credir card by AMEX
It earns 2 miles per $ spent and then 1 addtl mile at grocery stores. What I would like to know is =:
1) redemption on Asiana and other Star Alliance carriers -- is it worth it?
So far, this is the only card I have found that gives you 2 miles per $ spent and then the addtl mile on grocery stores. Up to 200k miles per yr per person. That is easy to do and earn.
what does everyone else think?

Miles at grocery stores is misleading. There are only a few ethinic korean grocery stores that are participating. Not the safeway or other traditional american grocery stores.
2 miles per dollar spent sounds good but redemption levels are much higher than say united.
Its probably very good for someone who has lot of non grocery/non gas spending. I personally am more biased towards CITI TYP where i do earn significantly more on grocery and gas spending.

redemeption levels are much higher than what I thought...
LAX-BOM via SQ in J = 180k miles == 90k in spend.
with TYP's in J = approx 600k TYP's. -- since an avg ticket on SQ runs approx 6k USD.
time to do more research.

There is a fixed points option available with certain CITI cards and redemption levels in terms of number of TYP's needed are much lower.
