You can get the PP for free* with the Sacks MCWE card - no annual fee on that card.

* the membership is free - not the visits, which are still charged.

Who cares. Free visits are important , membership is useless without unlimited visits. Sux that you have to wait 7- 10 days for approval.

Anyone knows what type PP is offered here? The fee per visit one, or the first 10 visits free one?

I think the big question here is who do they contract out for concierge? If circles then $150 per year is a steal.

Received an email today indicating approval for the card. We'll see how long it takes to receive the card.

Guests have to pay $27/visit.

I called Ameriprise & asked if guests were free? The response was there is a $27 charge for guests. (I did not ask for how many guests--just said one).

Continential lounges are $27 per visit. (per person).

Sounds like it's PP Prestige Membership, normally cost $399/year.

Just got my card yesterday. Pretty decent looking..black with silver lettering and Ameriprise logo. Was hoping that it would have a Charter Member designation on it but alas no.Priority Pass in a separate mailing still to come. Credit limit higher than what I would have expected from Ameriprise.

Oh, one other item. Card issuance and service is done by Juniper. So, I call them today to ask how do I go about viewing my account information on-line. The instructions with the card say to go to ameriprise.com and register, however, to register you need an Ameriprise customer number. This is impossible for me as all I have with Ameriprise is the MC.

The Juniper rep is stumped, puts me on hold, comes back and tells me to call Ameriprise on Monday (since they're closed on weekends) since no one at Juniper can tell me how to access account information on-line when you aren't an Ameriprise customer. The rep was actually surprised that I had the MC without being an Ameriprise customer.

I did find a weekend number for Ameriprise web support and managed to get on-line account access established. Since Ameriprise is marketing the card as part of their overall financial management package for clients, card access is through their financial services portal. As such, anyone getting a card who is not presently an Ameriprise customer is issued an Ameriprise Client ID number. Apparently, this number is mailed out after you receive the card. You have to have one, either by mail or by calling web support, in order to register for web access.

Needless to say, the cover letter with the card is poorly written and totally geared to someone who alreay has an account relationship with Ameriprise.

One additional nice item about this card is that if you have another authorized user on the card, you both get PP cards and can use the benefit.

I signed up for this card after seeing the post. thanks for posting it. I applied online, received the card 1 week later. The PP membership card and Ameriprise Financial packet came separately on the same day about 1 week after the card. Inside the Ameriprise Financial introductory booklet is your Ameriprise acct # to set up your online account. Its easy to miss, its printed in the same font somewhere on the third page.

You can choose to earn points or get 1.5% cash back deposited into your Ameriprise account, which if I'm reading correctly can be a savings or money market account. I decided to stick with points since I would only have that miniscule cash back amount in the account. The rates aren't so great to make me switch to their banking products.

I'm not sure what membership level PP it is. My theory is that its a base level membership, but Ameriprise absorbs the entrance fees. That makes sense why Continental lounges are not free. Which also stinks because I'm off to Houston in a month and all the PP lounges are CO.

I'm not a big poster on Flyertalk, but I look every once in awhile. thanks everyone for sharing.

Is there a benefit to this being a World Elite Mastercard? Any great tips or tricks that come along with this World Elite MC stuff. I'm new to premium credit cards. I got it for the 2% forex conversion instead of the standard 3% and unlimited free lounge access. If there is a good thread to point me to on this topic, that would be appreciated.
Also concierges. How does that work? the service is free, but the product is charged to your account? sorry, if anyone has a good thread for this too, I would also appreciate it.

many thanks to all of you.

Glad this are working out for you.

A word on the World Elite benefits.

I have the Saks World Elite MC. Concierge is pretty good. I have only used them for restaurant reservations--not fancy places, but local hole in the walls. They do ask other preferred times when doing so, so makes me think if they really have any pull at these places.

I plan to ask them to search for a car service in NYC that has Audi A8L in thier fleet and to look for 2 cases of sugar free polo mints--have not tried anything along these lines of any concierge.

For travel....I usually call them first (# on reverse of card), and if I need to make travel arrangements -- air namely, they put me on hold and connect me by name to someone by name at Virtuoso in the "World Elite Desk" - travel benefits come with all World Elite MasterCards. See www.priceless.com -- World Elite Access on the upper right. Conciereges are all polite, but know when you ask something of them they do it themselves and I always fear they pass judgement if you ask something obscure, but know it is their job---is their high turnover in these departments?

P.S. Last time I called they ask for so much verification info -- account#, zip code, last four of this, name,.etc.... I was a bit peeved. I understand just giving account#, but if they asked me for last 4 social I would not be pleased.

Hope you visit soon to read my post.

P.S. Let us know how you find Juniper/Barclay Card account customer service. They are known to have many World MasterCard products, but nothing as premium as World Elite.
