Voila Rewards launches 20,000 bonus points VOILÀ Hotel Rewards VISA card

Voila Rewards and Commerce Bank have just launched the VOILÀ Hotel Rewards Visa Signature card.

The new card comes with NO ANNUAL FEE and 20,000 Bonus Points in the Voila program after $1,000 spend.

Voila Hotel Rewards points are worth ~1.3 cents and can be redeemed during checkout when booking a hotel at vhr.com.

Their hotels include 44 in the U.S., a few in Europe (UK, Belgium, Spain),
some in West Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Thailand.

20,000 points are redeemable for only about 1500 Air France, Virgin America, or Virgin Atlantic. Or a $50 gift card to, for example, American Airlines or Best Buy. Not a very lucrative signup bonus.

Seems like the sign-up bonus will get you only one free night, in most cases.
A property in Scottsdale, AZ is close to 18,000 a night; one in San Jose, Costa Rica
is close to 16,000; and one outside London is a little over 18,000.

With a higher sign-up bonus they would likely get a greater number of applicants.
And much more exposure to their hotel brands.
