Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

$125 AA.com gc posted on 1/22, reimbursed 1/28.

For people who had charges in 12/2015 that didn't get reimbursed until 1/2016, I can verify that those charges counted for 2015 for me.

Just curious, for those who have done PGGM.... the airfare transaction never showed up for me in the confirmed charges list. I'm assuming this is because I canceled within 24 hours. However, the EC separate transaction did show up as a confirmed transaction - along with the refund from Delta. This is normal right?

I haven't received the airline fee credit yet so I just wanted to confirm I did this right.

Thanks

Yeah, that's what's supposed to happen. I did PGGM early morning 1/21 and got my travel credit last night.

Awesome, thanks Dave. My EC charge posted on 1/25... so looks like I probably have a few more days to wait.

I got reimbursed for two United Economy Plus seats ($46 and $49) - charged on 1/21, posted 1/25, credit posted 1/27. I didn't get credited for an upgrade to United first class last year, so this was nice to see.

AFAIK, there have been no reports of other benefits extending to additional AU, though I'm also not sure if anyone has tried.
I didn't ask anything, I was being told the terms when I applied. I'm glad it's obvious to you that an employee would have incorrect info but it wasn't obvious to me.

Today I received a brochure titled "Crystal visa infinite" from City national bank. It listed CDW as primary.
"Enjoy primary insurance coverage for automobile rentals made with your Crystal Visa Infinite Card."
Maybe all the Crystal visa has primary rental coverage?

Re: checking account--when I looked into it I found out that the debit card has a 3% FTF that isn't reimbursed. For people who mostly travel domestic the ATM reimbursement is still a nice benefit but Schwab beats CNB for international use by offering 0% FTF.

Has anyone used a billpay service to pay this card? Visa errors out and City National doesnt seem to show up in the list of banks.

Don't believe they participate. At least not in the "BillPay" visa program at Walmart if that what your asking about.
Checkout the "Billpay at Walmart" thread, post #3994

Automatic payments/Login quirks

Is there a way to set up automatic payments to this card? Can't find that anywhere.

Also, when I log in and it asks for my elementary school, it never accepts the answer. I always have to say I forgot and put in the CCV number and expiration date. At least until I told it to trust my computer.

I also can't log in from Chrome on a mobile phone; I have to use a computer.

Quirky but the benefits are worth it...

Can't setup auto payments unless you have a bank account with them. These guys are trying so hard to capture the "private relationship" market that they've missed numerous basic features.

With that said, I have much love for my CNB CCs and all benefits they've showered upon us.

Amen. I got two AUs on my account (parents), and though the process was a real PITA (as they are not Americans they do not have SSNs, so I had to jump through some evidenciary hoops), the benefits have been excellent. Not only has the $250 PGGM worked wonders on all three cards, but the 12 GoGo passes are available for each AU as well.
