Caution:
Barclays has a history of not seeing the offer you signed up for, and demanding that you send it to them.
So save a printout or screen capture of the landing page that spells out the offer!

What's in this thread:
This thread starts out by discussing a slightly different version of this offer that was around in late 2013.
(That version waived the $69 fee the first year for the 45k offer; the current 30k and 45k offers do not.)
Only those posts from July 2014 forward are about the current offer;
all posts from Apr 2014 backward are about the late 2013 offer.

I would like to get this card and the Arrival card but wonder if Barclay would already tell me I have enough credit since I have 2 USair cards open

I think it'd be worth it to apply. More upside than downside. A fourth card might be pushing it.

Wyndham points transfer fairly well to airlines, second to SPG. 8K Wyndham > 3.2K airline miles. AA, Delta, United, US, Aeroplan, a few others. So if you do this offer and spend $3K, you'll have 48K points, which could get you 19.6K airline miles. Not the best offer, but just pointing out that you don't have to stay at Wyndham to get value out of this.

I just recently applied and have 3 cards with Barclay. They were very cooperative and willing to just take some credit from my existing credit lines to open the new card. I would just try that route.

Is it not? The link says this: "The annual fee is waived for the first year for Cardmembers that choose the annual fee card." That's the 45K one, right?

Scroll down below the two card offers to the small print in footnote #1 to see where it says what I quoted. I dunno, I'm just going by what it says on the page. If others have experience that the fee is not actually waived, I'm curious.

I misread that, seems the $69 fee is waived

I just grabbed the 40K Arrival card that has the AF waived

You may want to look into that card first if you don't already have it

Same $1k spend but lets you redeem $400 in any travel charges , room service, etc

All I know is that the same bank's US Airways card has been churnable for some but not as easily churnable for others. So I don't know whether there's a simple "yes" or "no" question for this card.

What do you have to lose? Are you scared of a pull? The initial 30k can be pretty easy to figure out, if that posts you can rush the $1k spend in time, and if doesn't post, don't waste your time on the $1k spend.

In any case, you have only about a day at most to make your mind!
