More direct access to the offer is here: http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...F141564C73C958

You don't want to go here:
http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/ea...=citiexecutive

Because this link brings you to an offer of only 30K...and it is stated: "Enjoy these VIP benefits for an annual fee of $4,509".

That's not a bad offer. Comes down to 3/4 cent for the mile with a free AC membership thrown in.

60,000 mile Citi Executive AAdvantage offer

I just got the card with 50 k bonus. Sent a secure mail to see if they will honor this

*This CitiŽ / AAdvantageŽ card offer is only valid for new applicants for a CitiŽ / AAdvantageŽ account applied for pursuant to this offer and is not available to existing cardmembers or recent applicants for a CitiŽ / AAdvantageŽ credit card.

If you got a Citi AA Plat or Citi AA Gold, can you still get this bonus per quote above?

I closed mine in Jan 2013, not sure if that is recent. Any idea?

60,000 mile Citi Executive AAdvantage offer

would be interested to know if anyone who currently holds an AA card has been able to get the bonus on an Executive card. I was going to get the Exec for 50k a while back using a promo code from the admirals club when I didn't have any AA card, but then found a 50k Plat offer so never pulled the trigger...

But that's for the cost of 60,000 miles (compared to doing nothing).

More relevant is the cost of the extra 10,000 miles (compared to other offers for other Citi AA cards that waive the annual fee but don't throw in the AC membership).

Those people who were not about to buy an AC membership are more likely to look at it as $495 for just those extra 10k miles, and that comes out to 4.95 cents per mile.

No not such a great offer IMHO unless you really were about to buy an AC membership, or if the 10k EQM get you above an elite threshold you're looking for at less cost than mileage runs you were about to do.

I am confused by what you mean. It is my understanding that this product is considered separate from the normal Citi AA cards, and can be obtained even if you recently got a regular AA card. That means the entire 60K miles should be calculated in the PPM costs. If my numbers are correct, that means you are paying .825cpm, plus you get the AA club membership. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.^

Your argument is valid only for those who can obtain a first-year free Citi AA card at present time. I wonder how many are left among FTers?

AF is $450, not $495.

That was recent until about June when Citi decided it wasn't recent anymore and then it became recent again on August 25. Based on the most recent information, January might not be recent anymore, and in any case it seems likely that it will cease to be recent by next February.
