Did you buy a e-gift card or a physical card?

Best,

That is correct. Flight points on this card product only match up to base spend.

Best,
E-Gift Card. Its weird b/c it isn't available right away. But after a couple of days the virtual card came up and i just printed it out to keep a physical copy. That way you don't have to deal with shipping charges for the physical card.

Do we need to enroll for the benefit? No wonder nothing has been credited when my account statement closed two days ago. Can you provide me with info on how to go about enrolling? Thanks!

YES. You need to enroll in the program by calling the # on the back of the card. I believe the terms say up to 10 days, I purchased it on business day 12 or so just to be safe.

The airline reimbursement is based on calendar year, and not membership year, right? And do we need to register each year?

Yes, anks329, it's based on calendar year. And you only enroll once.

Thanks for the data point! I'm going to give it a go this week and report back if it works out for me as well.

Next year, I will try adding funds to UA's Gift Registry.
If it works, it's better than 2 $100 GC/year in my opinion.
You may as well want to consider this.
