Confirming Companion and 15% Travel Benefits
Thanks for the link below. However, on the Air Travel benefits page of Prestige card, the Companion and 15% travel benefits are not listed.

If I am going to get the new card, will I still have those two benefits?
Thank you.

Prestige benefits are formally documented here:

I cannot explain why an Air Asia transaction was reimbursed, unless the ticket was issued on the ticket stock of one of those airlines. This could be determined by looking at the ticket number, but I think it's not important at this stage.

If you search through Google with the terms Citi Prestige this is the ad they are running now:
http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...0k/default.htm
...and the Companion Ticket benefit is prominently mention near the top.

Just a heads-up, Spirit Incentives is at it again with a new sleazy trick similar to what they do with the base-fare inflation on the companion ticket. Now, for the 15% discount, they're falsely inflating the taxes. From a few dummy searches, it looks like they're claiming the federal excise tax is 12% instead of 7.5%. I imagine calling in would probably get you the correct fares.
(Is this illegal in any way, in that it's essentially fraudulently collecting taxes? Or just really sleazy, as seems to be the norm for this company?)

I suspect if the charge posts close to the end of billing cycle, the credit may not post in the same cycle. I had a $99 Delta charge from 15-May, it posted the same day. The statement closed on 21-May, and there was no credit... Of course, it is possible that Citi messed up in my individual case, and I won't see a credit on the next statement either. Will have to follow up then.
