They are basically two other credit reporting agencies...apart from the regular three.

The Club Carlson card sometimes pulls these reports, and people find themselves getting denied because of some discrepancy in their ARS or IDA report.

The complete instructions on how to go about freezing your reports is available here: http://hackmytrip.com/2013/06/freeze...-club-carlson/

His site is down right now, but give it a look once it's back up.

Instructions are posted in the Club Carlson thread.

Generalized, it may be helpful to freeze ARS & IDA reports for any US Bank application.

Somebody linked to yet another blog in that thread, which has the same information as hackmytrip.

OP, you'll find all the information there, how to go about freezing IDA and ARS. A must before including any US Bank card in your AOR.

No offense intended chrisj500,and maybe this is just me but I hate it when people say "check here" and then just link the whole damn thread.

In this case, going to that thread and searching for IDA and ARS gives the appropriate and needed result...But often it's next to useless when the keywords are rather generic, and the thread is a mega thread going on for hundreds of pages.

Other than US Bank, any other bank use these two agencies?

Or in this particular case, look at the wiki post at the very beginning of that thread.

Not that I know of.

Aah. Totally missed that sneaky little Wiki. (still not used to the little "+", even after creating a couple of wikis myself!)
Apologies.

My ARS report contained references from BofA (FIA), Citi, and Chase, National City (PNC), and US Bank.

Yeah, but I don't think they "use" ARS, if you know what I mean.
My report had references from them as well.
But I've applied for cards from Chase, Citi and BofA after freezing ARS and IDA and gotten approved without a problem.

Wonder if anyone's been denied because of a frozen IDA or ARS report...

I havent heard of anyone getting denied for having them frozen. I froze them before i applied for my latest club carlson card. It cost me a few bucks to freeze and if it leads to even one more approval than i would otherwise get, then it was 10 min well spent

How'd you pay?
Or do you mean the cost of postage?

I froze my IDA and ARS and got instant approval on both personal and biz Club Carlson cards. And my credit isn't the greatest due to high credit util and being a youngster with short credit history.

In 2013, I have 9 pulls on Experian, and 5 pulls on Trans.

I am interesting in US Club Carson Visa 85000 points. Right now, my FICOs is around 755. Do you think that I will get approve on this or not?

My guess based on reading every post in the Carlson thread would be no. But every once in a while someone reports that they have lots of apps and still get approved. The number one thing US BANK denies for is "too many new accounts or too many Inqs" in the last year.
