But, it is from US Bank so may want to look at the WIKI in the Club Carlson 85K card thread.

As it was posted on TOBB:
One can book one way awards from US to Japan or Taiwan with 12.5k LifeMiles in Coach or 25k in business class. The trick is that Guam is considered part of the USA (per Avianca), therefore, if you book something like NYC-NRT-GUM, you can intentionally miss the NRT-GUM leg and stay in Tokyo as a jump-off point to explore the rest of Asia.
Any thoughts on this?

I didn't receive the email about this. Avianca always sends me newsletters in Spanish (but still nothing about the CC).
Too bad this is issued by US "serious churners no need to apply" Bank.

You should be able to log in to your lifemiles account and change your profile so that emails they send you are in English.

I was approved for a personal and business USBank card the same day (Club Carlson for both). YMMV, but I would assume that it is possible to get the Lifemiles card and a Club Carlson Business card the same day.
