Looks like all lifemiles members were targets. All my dummy accounts got the email also.

Note: If you get Visa Platinum instead of Visa Signature your bonus goes down.
gleff posted this link on his blog today so I'm guessing it's not targeted.

But, it is from US Bank so may want to look at the WIKI in the Club Carlson 85K card thread.

As it was posted on TOBB:

One can book one way awards from US to Japan or Taiwan with 12.5k LifeMiles in Coach or 25k in business class. The trick is that Guam is considered part of the USA (per Avianca), therefore, if you book something like NYC-NRT-GUM, you can intentionally miss the NRT-GUM leg and stay in Tokyo as a jump-off point to explore the rest of Asia.

Any thoughts on this?

I didn't receive the email about this. Avianca always sends me newsletters in Spanish (but still nothing about the CC).

Too bad this is issued by US "serious churners no need to apply" Bank.

Does anyone have any screenshots of this offer?
I was approved for this card, and received it in the mail today but it says only 20k for first purchase.
Just in case the other 20k don't post
Thanks

Can people apply for 2 US Bank cards (Club Carlson + Life Miles) on the same day and get both approved? Or US Bank automatically denies the second application?

I wouldn't do that. No science behind it, just knowing that US Bank is a tough nut.

You should be able to log in to your lifemiles account and change your profile so that emails they send you are in English.

I was approved for a personal and business USBank card the same day (Club Carlson for both). YMMV, but I would assume that it is possible to get the Lifemiles card and a Club Carlson Business card the same day.

Has anyone had any success with writing US Bank and requesting them to match this offer?

Sent a message through their website asking them to match the bonus offer of 40K. Have not received a reply yet if they will or won't. Will let you know either way.
