Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

One could load BlueBird up with the max of 6k a month and pay Amex that way. Granted it's only 6k but better than nothing. I have heard stories of people having more than one BlueBird acct (one in a spouses name etc) and loading them both up and paying off bills. I personally use Bluebird to pay 6k off my amex every month. The rest gets paid with money orders or normal ach.

I now pay several Amex bills with BB (check the BB thread for more info, if you're interested). So if I were you I'd get BB for both your spouse/family member and yourself and load $2500 x2 trips x2 BBs (yours and spouse's). That's $10k right there. You can link your ST with BB for another $1k for the month. 11 is pretty close to 14. Make sure you load only $1999 every 10 minutes at same register. Go walk around a few times in between.

Sorry...just realized I said basically the same thing as Jayteabee. : )

Thought of something else: if you could figure out a way to transfer the balance fee free (or low fee) to a card that can be paid BP WM, then you could do up to $9999, I think. Remember seeing that somewhere upthread. Keep in mind, though, that ST will likely decline the charge b/c it'll look like fraud on their end. Alternatively, you could do it in increments, but as you said that could take a while.

You can load BB at the kiosk or register. Up to $1999 in a 10 minute period. Up to $2500 per day. Per BB. So yes, basically, walk in and load your BB with your debit. I do it all the time. Kiosk is easiest, in my opinion. ST may decline it as "fraud" but just call them and clear it. You don't need to tell them what you are "purchasing" at WM. Just that it is you and not fraud. Find my posts upthread on this issue for more info.

^ at my local WM when I show my BB, the high school dropout looks confused, and the more experienced person sends me to customer service. That location's Kate has been down for about a month, so no go there.

Since then I just go to the Neighborhood Market that's just a couple blocks down and hit the CS desk and there are no issues.

Finally got a 'no soup for you' letter. Was a great ride for couple of years for an 'out of their service area' account. Had slowed down anyway since concentrating on CB cards Accounts to be closed in couple of weeks. Bye Bye ST!

To add.. looks like I had missed the newsflash on Venmo and was doing that exclusively last month every week.. I think I will at least get part of the 75 they charged recently for additional year..

Was there anything unique to your account that changed recently, which may have triggered this?

It looks like many of the folks recently shut down have just paid their AF.

I'm curious if anyone's been shut down for no apparent reason. Ergo anyone who lives within a ST area, anyone who uses the account regularly, anyone who has direct deposit, etc. I've been doing about 15k/mon and will be sad if this goes away.

Well, yes, but that is my goal. No way am I stopping once I get there. I'll keep going, then go to UFB once that's dead, although I'll slow down a bit as the return isn't as valuable.

I get anxious whenever I look at my account online and see a LOT of WM on there. Very little else b/c I like to use different point earning cc's for most purchases. I'd do more than I'm currently doing if I wasn't so paranoid by those WM entries in my checking account. I'm clearly not buying that many groceries. I suppose there's some logic in the idea that if they're going to shut you down, it won't matter if you're doing 5k or 100k. But I keep thinking 5k might not be worth their while to fuss with whereas 100k might be.

Just got hit w/the Ann Fee for $75 and agent says you don't get anything refunded if you cancel... Is that true?! Seemed bizarre.
