Please don't delete this Wiki.
Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

Good news, the WIKI no longer says we can't spread panic when miles don't post by the 5th so I'd like to start panicing. ZOMG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEE HELP.

Ok now that's out of the way, I agree with Stgermainparis above. Sometimes it's even the 7th or 8th and I've noticed the extra delay around holidays. So let's see what happens tonight/tomorrow. If there is no posting by tomorrow night I will expect the world to end soon thereafter

Anyone have any experience in earning miles all the way up to the date of your account closure? I got my account closure letter from ST. I've been pounding it hard for the past 2 months since the program is ending. My account is officially getting closed on the 29th of this month. If I earn more points between now and the 25th (when the program ends) and I personally close my account on the 28th, will I still earn points when they post them?

Wow they closed your account even with the impending changes? I'm really surprised.

Well I doubled my spending for the past 2 months from my previous average. Knowing it was ending I had nothing to lose.

Soon after I got the closure letter, ST shut down the debit card within a few days, your miles will still post next month, just be aware your days with a working card are numbered.

The letter said that my card will be inactive "within 10 days of the date of this letter". I was assuming it means 7/9 (the letter was dated 6/29) and not 10 days before my account closure on 7/29.

Dang. What was your spend? I did something similar. I hope they don't send me that letter bc I'm out of country. Mail on hold for the month.

Close to 6 figures each of the last two months. I think it has more to do with a large increase in pattern than anything else.

I don't understand why people want to risk getting miles crawled back at the very end of the game.

I was just charged the annual fee for 2nd year on Delta card on 7/8. Can I cancel the card now and have the fee refunded or is there no refund once it has been charged?

"Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."
Since it's the last month maybe this doesn't matter, but that quote from the wiki doesn't seem completely accurate today. My miles posted with a date of July 3rd, so they don't include the 4th (and I've been shorted).
