Citi AA Gold to Platinum
Hey Y'all,
I currently have the Citi AAdvantage MC Gold Level and see that the new Platinum offers much better miles earning and usage options. Is it possible to sign up for the Platinum and earn the 30k points or is this for new users only? I recently redeemed my first award flight with them to fly to Nashville for Bonnaroo in June and it'd be nice to get my balance back up (plus earning 10% on award flights is pretty nice). Thanks!

Please see this post which provides a link to another thread, and also explains that you should allow about 20 months between personal AAdvantage card applications.
