100k [50 + 25 + 25] Chase BA Card

50k after 1st use

25k after 10k spend in 1 year

25k after another 10k spend in 1 year.

Higher minimum spend, but still an opportunity.

Landing Page:

https://creditcards.chase.com/credit...edit-card.aspx

EDIT: Wanted to add this is the new public offer, Chase should not be pulling this offer anytime soon.

Since the questions about about fuel surcharges, short/long haul, etc. seem to be endless, if you're new to Avios please read through this great thread by BAHumbug in the BA forum:

Chase Miles to redeem ? Start Here !

True. Though, if you can meet the spend it's an excellent deal, obviously your 20k will go towards the 30k companion ticket.

at least they disclose this now on the offer page.

"Did you know that for just 80,000 Avios and approximately $1100 in taxes, fees and surcharges, you can fly roundtrip in business class from New York to London? "

probably cause of the recent USA law

The last time they did this award availability vaporized and it still hasn't recovered. I had hoped they would never do it again.

Even if you don't want to do the spend 50k for no spend and just an annual fee is pretty good.

I'm looking at it as a possible sign of things to come. Hopefully.

the current YQ might scare a few people away and only use for AA or other partners in the western hemisphere.

I'd agree, the spend requirement doesn't seem so bad when you consider 20K of spend gets you 2/3 of the way to the companion ticket. This is a great offer for someone who wants the companion ticket.

LOL 20,000 dollars in spend to get 100,000 Adios points? Who are they kidding. Don't tell me this is another Chase offer that gets pulled down within a couple hours.

A few months ago I jokingly predicted some bank (with the ever increasing level of min spend threshold) would eventually require a $50k min spend requirement for X miles. We're getting closer...

It depends how you use Avios. I fly AA a lot (within the US) and being in a hub city, 100k Avios are worth as much as 100k AA to me (even more in many short-to-mid haul instances). Overall, a great offer. Another day, another random offer from Chase.
