All,

Chase responded to my inquiry, and honored both the additional 20,000 miles and the 50 dollar statement request.


I was a brand new MP Expo holder, and I sent a SM of the following:

I recently applied for the United MileagePlus Explorer card and was accepted. However, I have become aware that the bonus miles offer for the card that I received was not the best advertised offer available for the card at the time that I applied. Because I intend to use this card for several years as my husband and I often fly United, I would like to receive this better offer. I have attached a screenshot image of the offer which is for 50,000 bonus miles on first use and a 50 dollar statement credit.

Chase SM is really easy to send attachment - it works the same way as you send an attachment with your normal email. The attachment stays with your SM. If you do not see the attachment to your sent request when you check your sent box, then the attachment was not properly attached, i.e. not sent. You can take a look of your sent box and see if the attachment is successfully sent or not.

Just got a SM back from Chase. They say they are sending my request for the "match" ($50 statement credit) to the appropriate department and I will hear within 7 days.

What's with this? I guess a few people have had similar. What was the eventual response?

Hi everyone,

I recently received the Mileage Plus Explorer card and am trying to get the additional $50 credit.

I was able to get the page to open, able to take a screenshot, and went to send a secure message to chase - but every time I tried to attach it I was told "invalid attachment". I converted it to PDF, JPG, DOC, DOCX - nothing would work. I am using a mac, if that makes a difference.

What am I doing wrong?

Got the same response. Took 2 business days to get a response. As stated above, i got what I requested.

I had the same problem when I was at work. If you are at work, its security features on your browser. Do it when you get home.

I'm at work but on my personal computer. Maybe it has to do with the network (I've never noticed any sort of "restrictions" before)? I just tried two different browsers and that didn't work either. I guess I'll try at home later. Kind of strange.

Pop Ups or something, or theyre having server issues @ chase. No worries, you should be fine getting it

first message i got would be forwarded...didnt include a screen shot in my first one...included a screen shot in my second message and got a response saying it was forwarded and i would hear something within 1 business day

Ok I'm having a real hard time with this - for some reason I cannot get a screen shot to attach. I came home, and at first it looked like the screen shot was going to attach. I typed up my message and hit submit and then a screen came up reading "error 500" whatever that means. I tried again and then the screen shot would not upload again! Then, I tried using a different computer, it looked like it was going to work again, until once again I got "error 500"! I don't think the $50 is worth much more frustration!

do you lose the united miles if i close the card when annual fee kicks in?

what is good with advantage mile is close the citi aadvantage card but keep the miles.

May be your file size is too big?

If you keep getting errors, that might have something to do with the way you saved the screen shot. Just my guessing.
