I was denied for a Hawaiian Airlines card even at reconsideration and wrote a letter to the address on the denial letter and was approved.

Where did you find the Hawaiian Airlines C/C link?

Denied online for 50k VX MC.Annoying as h-e-double-toothpicks that this isn't posted publicly. Had to bounce around about 500 times and press 0 about 7 times before someone was willing to transfer me to recon and disclose this number. But I was approved so I imagine it was worth it

Thanks for this. It worked for me too. I had a fraud alert on my credit file but he was able to approve me on the spot. Although the agent seemed to be too inquisitive as to where I got this number. He asked several times. I just told him I found out by searching at the website.

It seems this is a top secret phone number and their secret has been discovered.

This was about six months ago. My point is to write a letter to the address on the denial letter. If all other options have been exhausted then it is worth a shot. It worked for me!

Does this reconsideration number work for the Fidelity Amex, too? I just got a decision pending message.

Thanks.

Edit: Called 1-866-865-7839 at 4:09 CDT, and received an automated message saying to call back during normal business hours. Hopefully that means they are on EDT.

Well, I called back this morning, and that number does work for the Fidelity Amex. I had already been approved. She just asked for my birthdate, oddly enough. Usually in recon they ask me for my SS#.

She said that when the computer takes longer than normal to process the app for whatever reason, it defaults to a prompt saying they will get back with me in 30 days. But I was instantly approved.

Thanks for the phone number!

Fidelity Amex Reconsideration

I received a pending notice for the Fidelity Amex and tried calling the "apply online" number but the person I spoke with said she "used to have the reconsideration number but was no longer able to connect me with anyone in that department." I then found this thread and was approved after calling 866-865-7839.

I applied and was approved for the BofA Alaska 50k offer and did not realize that it and the Fidelity Amex was a BofA card as well. The analyst noted that I had applied for 2 cards the same day and confirmed that I wanted both. She also asked how I found the reconsideration number.

Good news is that you can apparently get 2 BofA cards the same day (I didn't have anything with BofA before these apps). Not sure why they want to keep the reconsideration number a secret

New BofA Reconsideration Number

The ones that I've used in the past now say: "you have reached a non-working number at card services". Does anyone have an updated Bank of America Reconsideration line for a personal card?

Thanks!
