Pretty much most of the airlines specially the major ones. I doubt there is any published list. However you cannot mix and match two different routes or airlines for sure. You are mainly at the mercy of the CSR. If they find the same itinerary as you have in mind then its your lucky day. I have tried a couple of times and every time they give me a higher fare even with the discount

Not true. I have been offered itinararies with multiple airlines in a single reservation.

Somewhat true, though, I have succeeded in specifying the exact flights I wanted and have gotten them. The important thing is that the flights you request has to be lowest fare available at that point of time.

Never had this problem.

Looks like in my case either the CSR was lying (which is less likely) or ignorant (which is more likely).

Can this be a international one way ticket originated from US?

I tried to book a ticket with 15% off today.
CSR said they require a 4-day advance purchase. Today is August 23rd, and if I understand X-day advance purchase rule correctly, I should be able to buy tickets for departure on August 27th. However Spirit Incentives claimed the first allowed date was August 28th A supervisor confirmed the same, but I didn't try to call back and talk to a different CSR.

Thought I'd just add my own experience. Called to price a roundtrip from SFO to PEK. Lowest price on Kayak was $940 on Air China. Spirit Initiatives came back with $880. Pretty nice savings (though not quite the 15% promised). Asked if I could get the price for a United flight instead, but was told that the discount was available only for the lowest fare at the time.

There could be two reasons behind it:
1) The fare they found was higher than $940 originally. (But sometimes you have to click on the fare in Orbitz to make sure the fare is still available. I found it too many times that a lower fare displayed in the Matrix, but only after you clicked the fare, it told you it was not available and showed you a higher fare instead.
2) My understanding is that the 15% is applied to base fare only, not the total price. Say you have a $120 ticket with $100 base fare and $20 taxes and fees. 15% will be applied to $100, so the price they give you will be $85 + $20 = $105.

I was told the same thing. The way they explained to me is that you tell them which route and dates you want to travel and they input that into their system without specifying which class. They always come back to tell you the lowest fare displayed, and that, of course, is always coach class option.

I agree with that as long as the flights you want to specify is at the same or lower price AND the flights are in their system.

Up to 15% through spirit incentives plus flight points, which I estimate roughly 15%. totally 30% off, not bad. I assume 50k bonus points is count as spending points. So, you get up to 30% off before you hitting 50k flying miles.

Reportedly not. No bonus points of any type match Flight Points.

Discussion of new ability to book "companion" tickets online has been moved to this thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...on-ticket.html

Despite the name of the URL this link can also be used to book the 15% discount on paid tickets:

http://www.thankyoucompanion.com/

Just to let everyone know, I bought a ticket at www.thankyoucompanion.com using my Chase Sapphire Preferred and still got the 15% off. I'm waiting to see if I get the travel-category point bonus from Chase.

Just priced out a domestic ticket and yes it was 15% off the same price I saw on US's website. On an international ticket though since the base fare is extremely low the discount sucked...
Cheers
Howie

Great to know! I'm pretty sure it's coded at "Travel Agency" as Citi called me to ask about a charge from Spirit Incentives and said "it could be a travel agency" so my guess is it will code as such for Chase.

I'm wondering what will happen if you use NOT a Citi TYP card to purchase a ticket that comes with free companion ticket. Will they cancel whole itinerary?
