We will leave this thread open for questions from existing cardholders who applied using offers with the perpetual annual 10k bonus. Otherwise, please post on the ongoing thread on standard offers:
Current Offers: USAirways cards with no annual mileage bonus
Current Links:
30k + 10k anniversary + no annual fee for the first year (now says "Offer expired"); terms and conditions include offer specifics
[NOTE: Barclays is erratically enforcing the restriction "for Preferred members only," especially for those who leave off a membership number on the application. See recent experiences reported in the thread.]
There is a separate thread for a 40k+10k offer with $89 annual fee, no anniversary bonus: USAirways CC special Offer 40K + 10K BT Bonus; AF not waived
Expired Links:
30k at signup, 10k anniversary bonus, 10k with balance transfer, no fee first year - Landing Page (Ended 4/30/14)
Older 35K Link (older link not working)
Newer 35K Link (click on terms and conditions to see 35K bonus after first purchase, first year fee waived, and 10K anniversary bonus)
1) I applied for this card but got the message
Check your application status by visiting http://www.myapplicationstatus.com/
At Barclays, if you already have an online account, the card can also show up there before you get a notification from them. Obviously, that won't work if you don't yet have an online Barclays account from another card. But if it's not your first US card, you presumably do have an online account already.
2) What's the reconsideration line number?
866-408-4064. Only open M>F, 8am>5pm, Eastern.
3) How long after my first purchase does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles for the first-purchase bonus post with the statement showing the initial purchase.
4) For those people who got the targeted offer, how long after spending $750 in each of the 3 months does it take for the bonus miles to post in my account?
Miles posts two months after the end of the promotion period. For example, if your promo was to spend in June, July and August, the 15k bonus would post with October statement.
5) How can I get the anniversary 10K bonus points without paying the annual fee?
The annual bonus posts on the statement date of the month of anniversary. No need to "kick out" a statement. But if you are worried, you can put a few bucks on the card during that cycle thus generate a statement but it is NOT necessary.
AF is billed the last business day of the month of the anniversary (much better than Chase practice which is on the 1st day of the month). You have 60 days to cancel the card for the AF to be reversed. You also can use SM to cancel card and no need to call.
Note: I called to cancel the card (June, 2014), told them it was because the AF was too high, and they waived it. Still got the 10,000 points and the Companion Certs!!

Just applied today (March 27) with the 35K link. Got the application error screen, but checked the status and found out I was approved with a nice credit limit.
This is my second US card. First app was just over 6 months ago (September 26). Date point: I put in the same US FF# in this app as I did with my first.
Hoping I get the 15k offer again!

I got the flyer in the mail today for april, may, june 750 spend for 15k miles.
I almost threw it away but then remembered this post.
I scanned the flyer,

This was perfect timing for me as I can easily meet the spend requirements with tuition for 1 month and paying 6 months car insurance in advance 1 month, I figure the 3rd month I can buy some gas cards /grocery store gift cards in advance.

Just got a promo on my first us air card. This was lightly used until this quarter when I got a 5x promo for grocery/utilities. Barclays maybe trying to offload US Air miles so I'm glad I have 2 US Air cards!!
Use your US Airways Dividend Miles MasterCard April 1 through June 30, 2013 and earn 5 bonus miles for every $1 you spend—up to 2,500 bonus miles—on purchases you already make today in the following categoriesą:
• Restaurant purchases (including fast food restaurants)
• Gas Station purchases
• Home Improvement store purchases
Best of all, this is in addition to the miles you already earn for using your card every day.
You must activate this offer by April 20, 2013 to receive bonus miles!

i got the spend $750 in january, february and march, earn 15,000 bonus miles offer. i met the spending for january and february. a defective item that i purchased in february for $799 was returned to the online store for a replacement, but unfortunately, the item is now out of stock, so the store refunded my credit card. am i out of luck? does the refunded amount net against the original charge? or will it help if i spend $1,500 in march to make up for the refunded amount? my account now shows a large credit (negative balance)
Sucks.

I was able to get 2nd USAirways card while 1st one is still open(over 4 months earlier), instant approval. I tried to do the same for Mrs, but got an instant decline, the reason was "max number of cards allowed", no credit was pulled. Her first card is still open as well (but less than 4 months old).
Anyone know if you need to separate the applications (with either open or closed last card) for some days? Or it's just a hit or miss scenario, no theory behind it (instant approval vs instant decline)

Not being an expert but if one checks "goods & services" on AP, I would argue that I was buying stuff from this person and paying them with AP. If you checked "cash" advance on AP, that would be a different situation.

As far as waiting period after #1, I got approved for #2 after 4 months.
#1: Applied Sep 27, 2012
#2: Applied Feb 21, 2013
The trick IMHO to getting #2 approved is to make sure #1 has minimal credit line. If #1 has a high credit line you probably won't get instant approval and you'll get shot down at recon for already having the same product.
I had a very low credit line on #1. I needed to call recon to get that one approved because I had another Barclays card with a high credit line. I then cancelled that high credit line card a few months before applying for #2.

What do you consider low? Also, was it the NFL card you applied for?

It was an old AirTran card with a 23K credit line. To get approved for US card #1 I had to re-allocate some of that credit line, so I asked for 5K on the US card knowing I'd be ditching the AirTran card which would free up credit line for my next US application. I would say low is 5-10K, but obviously depends on individual circumstances. If you have more than that I'd probably cancel first.
