Very clever, haha! I hope my title isn't actually that misleading.

Anyway, just a status update that I have submitted online my compliment. I stressed in the form that I understand that mistakes happen and that the flight was overbooked, but it's really how those mistakes are handled that demonstrate great customer care, which is exactly what the flight attendant did.

I really hope all the flight attendants here realize how grateful we are, and that when you do go above the call of duty, we definitely notice!

I once knew a nice ticket counter agent who worked for a commuter airline. The agent said that the mainline carrier was planning to take over service. I wrote a recommendation letter to the commuter airline's local manager, cc to the agent, so that it might to be used to get hired by the mainline carrier.

I don't know if it helped but the agent did get hired by the main airline.

It takes less time than that and it's not being done.
Unless it's something really extraordinary, a boilerplate response is generated and the letter goes in the TRASH.

"Good F/As don't need to be recognized" per Inflight management.
