Maybe we can merge this thread (which has a better title) with this one: AA Offers Double EQM, Will Continental? which has all the current discussion.

Sweet... was worried about status this year given new work travel curbs. This really helps!

Love the fact that my previously-purchased flights will qualify!

Does this count for 2x EQP's as well?

No, not according to the fine print.

Why? What's the difference, except keeping us who fly mostly intra-Texas out of the promo?

I also noted that there is no mention of new bookings. I have several refundable flights coming up that I could cancel and immediately rebook if need be, but it looks like I do not need to bother.

I have a question about the way this works. Let's say I am flying IAH to LAS on a paid F fare. One way, that would normally be 1222 EQM + 50% bonus= 1833 EQM. Under this promotion, will I earn 2444 (1222 * 2), 3055 (1833 + 1222) or 3666 (1833 * 2) EQM?

This offer does not apply to Elite Qualifying Points
I wish they would throw a bone to segment fliers every once and a while.

I guess this means, I will be spending more money on CO the next couple of months. But, it sure will relax me toward the end of the year re-qual drills!

After reading the fine print, I'm pretty sure you get the base x2 (no 500 mile minimum for bonus) plus the class bonus, so in your case, 3055.

Do the extra EQMs go toward MM status?
